We thought we lost our cat. So I went to the Roseville site to see if she might had been taken there she was not of course but everyone I had the privilege of speaking to and helping were very kind, polite, and helpful. We found our cat the following day in one of my daughter closed dresser drawers. She was relaxed and peaceful like, "hey how are you doing. Great long nap I had in here." πShe had to have climbed up to from the back of an opened drawer. We looked all over the previous day for her I side the house and walked the neighborhood calling for her. She never let on that she was inside the drawer until the morning my daughter heard her purring in the closet and made a small peep. Seriously we looked and called for her in the closets she made no sound whatsoever. π€π€·πΌββοΈπ€£ Just remember to check closed drawers and cabinets just on the off chance they did make their way inside something closed. π€π
I found a missing cat and took him to Roseville City Animal Service at 3pm, but RCAS asked me to drive to EI Dorado animal shelter because the cat was found in EI Dorado county not in Placer county. The staff gave me the address of EI Dorado animal shelter and said the office would be open before 5pm. I rushed to EI Dorado animal shelter at 4:30pm but found the office was closed. Bad experience and frustrated!
I called for ducklings that fell down the street drain while crossing the street. An hour later I called back and got a nice gentleman that said one guy was finishing up his call and would be there next and would put my call first. Called back an hour and a half later and got a rude lady who had no emotion. I told her it had been two and a half hours since these ducklings were stuck underground and I had called back and they said someone was finishing up and on their way but no one showed up. She then rudely lectured me about how they donβt have a lot of people and they take call after call after call and someone would be out as soon as possible. So I asked her if I need to wait or leave and she said it was up to me. I would think someone working for animal services would have a little more compassion for baby ducks and not be so rude when Iβm calling worried about these babies. Roseville animal control is leaving baby animals to die and has no sense of urgency.
Even if an animal control officer isn't available at the moment, dispatch will answer and the police can come assist in case of an emergency! My dog got out at the crack of dawn and the very pleasant dispatch officer made sure everything was ok before I was able to get my dog back. It was a very nice experience! A+
They have a service here where if your car or dog has died while at home, you can bring it here for a $10 humane disposal fee. (If you wish your pet's ashes back, there is an additional fee). All the animals collected are humanely cremated, and their ashes are spread at the bottom of a grove of trees. It is a nice ending for your beloved pet. π
Doing the my civic duty lol, I called in a dead squishy to be removed off the road by the business plaza at 420 Folsom. The phone operator was nice and said they'd clean it up soon. I noticed about 4 hours later when I came back into the area the job was done. Nice Work!
