I have used Live Oak South for all the screenings and paperwork involved in relocating my dog to Japan. The staff is cheerful and polite and Dr. Chattin is knowledgeable, helpful and genuine. They were all very gentle with my nervous dog. Wait times are average. I picked Live Oak because the cost of relocating is very high, but they were the most reasonable. The lobby is quite large with multiple entrances and exits for animals that may require a little care in that regard, and there is lots of space and places to sit while you wait. Everything is tidy and clean. Check out is efficient and in the exam room so your ready-to-get-out-of-here pet can go with you straight back to the car when you’re finished.

This clinic saw my very sick chicken as the vet I was forced to take her to previously was no help. The avian doctor here is a 10/10. I will continue bringing all my chickens here in the future. Thank yall so much. She had to be put down but the entire process was great. Super caring people. PS: Make an appointment ahead of time.

Live Oak Animal Hospital is amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly. Dr. Wolfe is so knowledgeable and friendly. She took her time to answer all of our questions when we had to bring my MIL's elderly dog in for seizures. She explained all of the options and talked them out with us. They definitely have a new client and we would highly recommend them.

We used a week ago and was truly disappointed by the whole experience. We brought our 13yo dog to be put down. We had to wait over an hour to be put in a room after we got there. I understand walking in, but due to the nature of the situation we could have at least been taken to a room to wait. We gave our info to the lady that was supposed to give it to the crematorium and I don't know if she didn't write it down or the crematorium ignored it but our wishes were not honored. We requested two paw prints and they were absolutely horrible, you can't even see the actual paw. After such a disappointing appointment then to receive his ashes and the paw prints was completely heartbreaking.

Well we arrived to a nice modern facility. The staff was very friendly. Prices were manageable and seemed fair. The Veterinarian was very knowledgeable. Dr.Wolf took the time to explain different paths we may take . She explained possible outcomes. She was very detailed in her explanations. Also she was very happy to answer any questions about all aspects of the visit. We got a clear picture of what to expect from the current situation to our desired point of health. Medication, it's use and proper administration was explained very clearly. This visit was approximately an hour and a half. This was for a new patient visit. So we feel this period was timely and expected. Our cat had a procedure at another facility and was exhibiting concerning signs (not associated with the procedure). Since the previous facility wasn't a full service Vet. Live Oak Animal Hospital South was able to get our Mekal in quickly. We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend them.

I've been taking my dogs here since they branched off from the original Live Oak on 98th. It's probably the furthest away from my house, but well worth the trip. The quality of care we've gotten over the years has been excellent. The doctors are compassionate and competent. The parking lot is my main complaint, especially in big-truck-heavy Texas, but we make it work. Definitely recommend.
