The humane society told me to call this number and talk to them so I did because I thought they might be able to help with this dog. I talked to this lady who was so damn rude you wouldn’t believe it. She had an attitude with me from the BEGINNING and then the rest of time and also spoke in such a judgmental tone too when she didn’t even know the full story yet??? She even asked a question in a HUGE sarcastic tone then almost sounded like she wanted to laugh. I literally told her “there is no reason for you to be rude ma’am, I was told I should try this number for help with this dog” her reply was “I am helping you”. By having an attitude, being rude, and judgmental? Ok yeah sure. Then after she said she was “just helping” she was still just as rude if not more. She was no help. This place is a complete joke and I saw another review that said the same thing! Fire the damn lady. There is no reason to immediately treat customers calling for help like she treated me. As soon I started talking, she just had such a rude tone and attitude towards me. So uncalled for. 1 star review for this place.

Two days after Christmas our Pomeranian was killed by my back neighbors two big dogs that got over the fence and also my husband was bit. This has been an ongoing issue for surrounding neighbors as well. Last time one of his dogs attacked my dog and when I went to defend my dog, it came at me. Animal control took hours and hours to show up. Then with an inexperienced officer who acted like i shouldn’t bring this to court. Didn’t file the report nor did they quarantine the dog for 10 days like we were told they would to check for rabies. 16 days later no word and they hadn’t done anything with quarantine which I had to find out from health department. Waiting on our court date, but ANIMAL CONTROL in TOPEKA is a JOKE!!!! You should all be fired and find people that actually want to help citizens when they have tragedies !!! Shame on you all!!!!

The officer who came to pick up a wandering dog, for better or worse, knew this sweet pup. He had already found a hole in a fence and was in his own back yard, but the officer went to the owner's front door to see if anyone was home and to let them know their pup had escaped again. Four stars for the officer. Zero stars for the pup's owners who need to patch their fence.

The lady with animal control is so sweet. When our dog went missing and most recently today when a beautiful white dog went missing she showed up and was great with the dog. But then the owner showed up too. Didn't want her to get hit, she didn't ticket him she accidentally got out. Thank you for being a terrific person and public lservant.

Said that my families pet rooster is aggressive but he is scared of people and will run away. Idk why they have to manufacture lies.

I have a young husky that was abused badly by the previous owner so if he gets loose (when I've been trying to untangle him from having wrapped his runner around the porch beam and slipped out of his collar for example), he automatically runs. He's scared of everyone so to catch him isn't likely. These guys are amazing, patient, and kind. I appreciate your help and I'm glad the community had you!
