Shirley, the vet at Shawnee Animal Clinic is wonderful, she can spot a hernia on a cat without an x-ray. She's also an excellent surgeon who's been doing surgery on dogs and cats for many years I trust her completely! Her prices are more affordable than a lot of vets I've been to, I've been to cheaper vets too, but they're not always the best choice, because they're overwhelmed with patients and miss a lot of important things. October 31st, 2024- I would like to add a couple pictures of Banjo & Jackie. Dr Shirley Foust saved both of them from certain death. Dr. Foust and her staff are very caring and understanding!

We took our dachshund-corgi mix to Dr. Fouse when we first brought her home for a check up and to get the remaining shots she needed. Our dog is very excitable and vocal but she took so nicely to the Dr and her assistant. The appointment was over in no time at all and the price was around what I expected. Our dog was spayed by the same vet and they took great care of her. They have always been willing to answer my questions when I call for whatever reason. They talked us into starting our dog on the food they recommend and sell in house. She loves it, it is produced in state and is healthy. I highly recommend Shawnee Animal Hospital. Their staff is great and friendly, people that you can chat with if time allows.

For anyone reading this review and considering where to take their pets for veterinary care, you can be assured that choosing Dr. Fouse's clinic, is a decision you won't regret!! Her and her staff’s dedication to animal health is evident in every aspect of her practice, from the welcoming environment of her clinic to the meticulous attention to detail in every treatment and advice given. If there were a way to rate her/her staffs services beyond the standard 5-stars, they would undoubtedly deserve it for their OUTSTANDING contribution to veterinary medicine. Whether it's routine check-ups, emergency situations, or the need for specialized care, Dr. Fouse/her team have consistently gone above and beyond! It's not just the technical expertise that sets her/her team apart, but the compassion and patience they show to both animals and us as pet owners. With Dr. Fouse, it's not just about treating the physical ailments of the pets, but also about providing emotional support and guidance to pet owners during difficult times. The trust and confidence we have in Dr. Fouse/her team has only grown stronger over the years, making her/her team invaluable partners in keeping our fur-babies healthy and happy. Another thing I’d like to point out is this clinics ability to offer both quality care AND affordability. Whether we were going in for all-day canine boarding, going in for hydro-therapy twice a day, medications, eye drops, dental surgery, vaccines etc. the prices have always been in the realm of affordability in comparison to any other clinic we’ve visited in Topeka. Lastly, we’d like to give a special shoutout to Shannon, and the other staff members. Those three ladies do a PHENOMENAL JOB every time and take such good care of us/our fur-babies. Sincerely, A satisfied family who’s visited this clinic for 4-5 years, and on occasion, visited daily for a duration of serval months at a time.
