It’s the nicest shelter I’ve been to. We got a sweet boy. He did not present well at all while kenneled but once he was out he was great. They seem to be working with the pets and really care that they get a good home. They gave us a voucher that covers an appointment to get established with a veterinarian.

PERFECT DOG, from the shelter!! THEY HAPPEN! ALLLL OF THE TIME!! #ADOPTDONTSHOP And Sadie happened to me, thank GOD!!! She saved my life, that is a fact! This is. The cleanest shelter I have ever been to!! a very large meet and greet room, and lots of walking space to get acquainted outside! My experience there showed the staff to be extremely compassionate about the dog's welfare. I had the best shelter experience I ever had, And I drove there from colorado specifically. Will again for sure! Thank you for caring for Sadie before I met her!!!! She is literally a PERFECT DOG!!!

The staff were kind and friendly. I went to get my puppy micro chipped. It was quick and I did not need an appointment to have it done.

The first day we came into the shelter, the dog meet we had arranged for our dog, Lenny and a dog we had been looking at, had seemed to go well; however, the girls who had done the meet didn’t agree with that. My husband & I mentioned we are willing to work with whatever kind of personality, as long as Lenny was comfortable with them. They sent us home to think about it, as well as another dog that was not social with other dogs, or even people. Given her former situation, it made sense. She was very sweet, but it felt as if she didn’t want to open up to us quite yet. We got a second opinion and it was smooth sailing from there. Brooke was such a great help when we were looking for a sibling for our pup. She had helped us the second day we came in and was very informative, even about the new dogs that had come in while she was on leave. We needed to find a dog that was social for our Lenny boy and she helped us do exactly that. He now has a playful, energetic sister named Lucy that he absolutely adores. If you would like to work with someone who is knowledgeable, kind, and patient, ask for Brooke! I highly recommend her and I believe she can help in assisting with a new fur baby for their forever home! I would also like to add, the employees here seem to be very kind and look out for their animals’ well-beings!

3 years ago, I adopted 2 barn cats, such good boys. 2 years ago I adopted an abused and sickly female German Shepherd that very recently had puppies and was extremely thin. She’s an absolute amazing dog, I wouldn’t give her up for anything. I understand shelters and their volume of animals and constant varying circumstances. After taking her to my vet, getting her care and medication, she’s PERFECT!!!! She had horrible diarrhea all over my kitchen for 3 weeks until I could get her intestinal infection under control. The shelter did not make me aware that she was suffering from severe giardhea. I wholeheartedly believe that they do the best with the resources that they have. I can’t thank Cheyenne Animal Shelter enough for my girl!! My previous shepherd had passed after 16 years. Please take a moment to think about what this staff goes through every day and the horror of things they must see and deal with and cut them some slack. Have some empathy and compassion. No one is perfect, give constructive criticism instead of just bitching about not getting your way. If it’s a legitimate complaint be intelligent enough to give detailed feedback and remember, there’s ALWAYS 2 sides to any story. Thank you Cheyenne Animal Shelter for my Richie and Sonny barn kitties and my Angel Tala!!!🌻💕💕
