This is an absolutely awful organization. We were looking for a service dog to aid with our autistic son. My wife met with them and was talked down to about my son’s diagnosis and needs as well as actively trying to send her to another service dog organization. They came to our house for a visit, we’re here for less than 2 minutes, looked at us in disgust and said this was not a suitable home for one of their dogs. Our son was diagnosed 5 years ago and it has been a long time since we were talked down to like that with regards to his diagnosis and what he needs. If you are a special needs family seeking assistance go to ANY OTHER COMPANY. Service Dogs of Virginia does not give a damn about you and your needs. They see themselves as better than you and want to let you know it.

If I could give this place negative 100 stars I would. Categorically one of the absolute worst organizations I've ever come across. The fact that the families who are soliciting their services are in vulnerable position make this companies actions way more insidious. Your company consistently treats people with condescension and disrespect. You should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat people, and the depths you will go to to make a vulnerable family even more ostracized. SHAME ON YOU!

Horrible experience with this organization, you would think a place that provides assistance for people with medical needs would be more understanding but this is not the case. Generally families seeking this kind of assistance already have a lot on their plate. Adding more stressors and requiring families to jump through unnecessary hoops feels very wrong.

"Disgusting, disgraceful excuse for a business. The management should be beyond ashamed — they should be embarrassed to exist! DO NOT, under any circumstances, waste your time with these people. They are rude, condescending, and so full of themselves it’s nauseating. Their ridiculous pickiness and arrogance are absolutely unbearable. Stay far, far away!
