Called about dog being left out of a local business by the owner tied to a tree during very hot conditions, was told by a nearby business that it’s out there all day every day and can easily get into the parking lot, I even watched multiple cars try to park and avoid hitting the dog. Officer pulled into the wrong parking lot, did a loop (never stopped to look around) and drove away. The officer reported to their office that they were on the scene when they never actually stopped. Why have laws to protect animals in extreme weather when the people enforcing the laws don’t care about the animals?

Called and spoke to a pleasant woman that was helpful and provided information to wildlife for VA when seeking info about what best to do with a groundhog problem. Thank you communications!

I was almost attacked by a neighbor’s dog that they keep leaving loose. I keep trying to call the number but it doesn’t work.

Waited for 3 hours, called twice and no one showed up or called back despite them apparently sending two people out. Poor animal ended up dying. Pretty unhelpful

Pretty useless waste of tax dollars...Communications guy told me it was outside of hours and to just catch the animal myself. Poor dog was out in 30 degree weather, and it was getting dark
