I recently adopted Luna (renamed Millie) from P4TC and had a great experience. Anita was very helpful, even offering to drive to me on her day off with Luna’s paperwork so I could turn it in to my leasing office. The whole adoption process was simple and easy. I know not everyone is going to have the best experience but don’t give up on helping a dog because someone else left a bad review. If I had done that, I’d never have adopted the sweetest girl. Thank you to this wonderful organization for all you do!

Amazing team at Pause for the Cause. Anita was very kind and professional, putting the needs of the animals first. I appreciate her facilitating the best match for adoptions, not just first come first serve. We are so honored and thankful to give Oscar his forever home.

We adopted a little Jack Chi female named Chloe and a few months later P4TC saved the 72Maltese. We first fostered Harper then we were able to adopt him. He is my sweet boy but does have some traumatic issues due to being so incredibly abused. Anita and her crew care so much for these incredible little animals and give them a chance to have a wonderful life. Some may need a little extra work but saving these animals who have suffered so much from human hands deserve to be given the best care possible. Anita and the entire staff are Angel Rockstars, Thank you for doing such an incredibly difficult job!

I cannot give a good enough review. Anita suggests I adopt my dog instead of the original dog I applied for and she hit a home run. She knows her animals and has their best interests at heart. Trust her, trust paws for the cause, and you’ll find a companion for life.i love my boy and she suggested him for me. She could not have picked a better match.

Not just Paws 4 The Cause, but in my opinion, many rescues are just in it for the profit. (Yeah, I know, P4TC is a nonprofit). My experience with P4TC is that they/she will only rescue animals that she knows will bring the ridiculous prices that she puts on their heads. That's why I gave 2 stars, she does rescue some. I know that caring for animals is not cheap, but the grants and the donations, along with the discounted and free medical needs, and everything else given to her...and as far as I know, Anita doesn't work a regular job, so how does she pay for her personal needs and essentials? Do people donate to her home utility bills? With all the new rescues popping up in Kentucky due to the lax and non existent animal welfare laws and the media attention about the "animal crisis" going on in KY, all rescues in Kentucky need to prove accountability and be more transparent about their finances, personal and professional. They passed a law about fostering real people children, one or both foster parents have to have a job other then fostering because people were just fostering for the money. And I'm sure people who rescues animals are just doing it for the money. And something else, it just kills me when people who work in rescues and shelters gets frustrated with the public of whom they depend on to keep business going, says, "try working in rescue and see how hard it is". Or "try working at a shelter and see how hard it is". Is it really that hard to sit on a computer all day looking for that perfect animal with a sad story behind it that will sell...I mean adopt out easily? If your job is that hard and you hate it that bad, step aside...simple. Thanks, and God Bless the child and the beast, they have no voice or choice. ________________ Ma'am, I've been rescuing animals as long as you claim to have done, if not longer, according to your background check. Only I use my own money and do it a little differently.

We have been fostering through Paws 4 the Cause for several months now. It has been one of the best, most rewarding decisions we have EVER made. Each fur baby teaches us something new and our kids have learned so much from the experience. Anita and The Paws Team are amazing and work extremely hard to rescue, advocate, and care for these animals. We also had a very joyful and seamless adoption experience when we foster failed! Thank you for always fighting for these amazing creatures!
