Description "Our mission is to provide public safety and protect the health and welfare of animals in our communities through education, responsibility, and compassion."
The Bradshaw animal shelter has given me a forever dog!. I adore my moo moo girl. Though she had kennel cough when she came home with me. There are steps of going through the process of adopting a dog. You have to be sure to have the dog’s number on hand before entering and wait in line to ask if anyone else has already chosen the dog. Make sure the date is correct for the day of adopting. You can point out a dog you may like but the dog’s date may not allow you to adopt them that day. They allow you to sit in with the dog once you give over your information. They’ll ask if you want to continue the process of adoption and provide paperwork for surgeries meal plans and vet care with microchip information. Thank you so much for my forever dog ♥️
Went to go look at the cats and kittens for the free adoption that they are having till Sept. 10th. Had a great experience and adopted a little kitten. Went back in November to get our adopted kitty a friend and found another adorable kitten.
THIS IS THE WORST SHELTER. It very very clear most of the staff do not treat the animals with love and are not welcoming to visitors. My dog has had medical issues that Bradshaw has failed to address. My dog has been handed back shaking after having to leave him there for a day. My dog was so traumatized that he did not recognize me the next day and it wasn’t until he was able to come closer and slowly sniff me that he recognized safety. I remember walking with him back to my car in absolute tears of what he must have been through. For any of those wondering, I have had multiple dogs in the past and this is the worst shelter I’ve experienced. It’s disappointing at what poor management and leadership this staff is under. Livid doesn’t come close to the emotions I feel.
There were very nice people working there. It's obvious that they are all animal lovers. My adoption coordinator helped me find a pair of bonded feline brothers. They are a wonderful addition to my home.
I took a 14 week old puppy home as a foster to adopt. The next day, she was bleeding from her bottom. We took her back to the shelter to be seen by a vet and they refused to see her something about being booked for the day. I spent $400 dollars at the ER to get her the care she desperately needed and, as it turned out, she had a UTI. Then, my 2 year old dog started coughing three days into the puppy's stay with us. We spent $1,000 dollars getting him tested by a vet only to discover that he has canine respiratory coronavirus and a bacterial infection in his lungs. This is code for kennel cough which most definitely came from the shelter because my 2-year old has not had exposure to any other animals except the dog I brought home from Bradshaw. This has been a nightmare, and I will never adopt from them again. They are sending sick animals home with people who have other animals at home and it is completely and outrageously wrong! This is not how you treat animals nor the people who are rescuing them. I am shocked by how they are running the place. Dogs and puppies with urine puddles in their cots and piles of poop. It's a no wonder the animals are sick. So very bad.
One of the nicest and cleanest and very helpful staff of any shelter I've ever seen. The staff was prompt and very helpful when it came to my Wife adopting her dog. 5 stars all around!
