Andrea was great to deal with, she was able to let us drive down from Lincoln to see a kitten same day, she was very professional and knowledgeable and helped us get all the kitten items we needed. Our new kitten was also very friendly and litter trained! Overall a great experience.
The Cats About Town Society dental program is amazing! It's typically very expensive to get dogs a dental done under anesthesia without it being nearly 1,500 not including extraction, but the Cats About Town has an extremely affordable flat fee for surgery and it cost a little 1,000 with lab work and the carrier. The staff, well the staff is amazing. Drop off was smooth and at 6am, and the paperwork definitely made me nervous to send my dog away with strangers. But they kept in touch with me the few hours she had to be away from me. The entire staff made me feel completely reassured that all they cared about was the well-being of the dogs. They were extremely knowledgeable and open about the procedure from start to end. I also received lab paperwork and a diagram of my dog's teeth with a note and they took the time to go over that with me too. The peace of mind both my dog and I now have was very much-needed and I'm forever grateful to them.
We brought our dog here over the summer for teeth cleaning (and extraction) and had a fantastic experience. She hadn't had a cleaning since we adopted her off the street five years ago, so she needed some major work done. Our vet told us that she would need a lot of extractions and quoted us an astronomical price. We found Cats About Town through a friend's recommendation. It was very weird at first given the forms we had to fill out prior to the appointment - so much so that we almost canceled - but the vet who met us the morning of the appointment was so professional and kind that she immediately put our fears to rest. It's completely volunteer-run, so everyone involved clearly cared about the welfare of our pets. There was another man at the appointment who said he'd brought his cat there several times, which further put us at ease. In the end, our pup had a bunch of teeth pulled and the rest cleaned beautifully. It's almost been a year (sorry we didn't review sooner!) and she is doing so well. The experience was a little scary - but I think any time your pet is going through surgery it's going to be stressful one way or another - but the volunteers were so awesome, warm, and reassuring, and the results were so great, that we have absolutely no reservations recommending this service to anyone who needs their pet's teeth cleaned or pulled.
Adopted two kittens from them this weekend. The foster families are very caring and gave me a care package full of the cats favorite toys. The staff were super helpful. I was having trouble scheduling the cats to get their next vaccine shots, so I reached out to them through IG and they helped me find a local walk in clinic. The adoption is a little more expensive than Front Street Shelter ($100vs$150) but I feel much more confident adopting from Cats About Town knowing that the kittens were well cared for while being fostered.
Cats about town helped me get my cats dental work done for $600. She had 19 teeth removed. The process was so easy and they took great care of Gizmo. They have been a life saver. Gizmo is doing great. Thank you so much.
Cats about town society helped me so much with my cat and his dental work. They are amazing and so kind and compassionate. 10/10 would recommend to EVERYONE. ABSOLUTE ANGELS❤️
