They saved my cats life. I can’t believe the amount of care they gave my cat, and how amazing they were to us. Truly sympathetic team, amazing knowledge and they honestly care about the animals brought in here. They went above and beyond. My cat had two surgeries and quite a few days stay in their care, I was stressed but knew she was in excellent hands. We will forever be grateful for their help and care.
Absolutely love this place. Everyone was super friendly. The vet techs and vet were so accommodating and met my dog on his level, literally sitting on the ground with him for his exam. They were very patient as my 62lb dog decided to melt onto the floor instead of cooperate with the exam. They were extremely thorough and flexible with treatment options. It was our first time there and we got a little welcome package for our dog which was super cute. It had a baggie holder with bags, education pamphlets, and a sample of a new flea and tick medication. We look forward to coming here with both of our dogs.
I’ve been coming to CARE for almost ten years now with a couple of different pets and to say that they go above and beyond is an understatement. They ALWAYS take care of your pets and make sure that they get the best care. The staff, the doctors and the front desk team is always so welcoming and ready to help. Little side note I recently had to go to VCA on hilltop by iHop because one of my doggies got bit by a rattlesnake. There was a guy in particular that was part of treating him and ultimately saving his life. I don’t usually go there because CARE has been our home but I was surprised to see when I brought my new kitten in that Dustin was now at this location! We love you guys! Thank you for taking such good care of our little family!
I had a great experience here with my cat Bug. My wife and I haven’t been living in Redding long when we had a situation with our cat that we felt best going to have him seen by a vet. The staff at VCA was very caring and excellent to work with. I wanted to take a moment and publicly thank them and encourage anyone seeking a vet to check them out!
I would NOT recommend this place if you own a large dog. We have used this place in the past and had no complaints. However, now we are Cane Corso owners and breed discrimination is real. We attempted to board an 11 month old Corso puppy who is a goofball. He has NEVER been aggressive. Never bitten anyone. Incredible with kids and other animals. We boarded our sweet boy on Monday for a trip out of state. We get a call Thursday 2 hrs before they close telling us we need to come pick him up asap. Their story is that he wasn't eating and had become aggressive. They said he lunged "unprovoked" at a staff member. He has been boarded at another location with ZERO issues. The reduced appetite is completely understandable as he's away from home and out of his usual routine. I don't believe for a second that after 11 months he suddenly became aggressive and started lunging at people. The truth is that he is a PUPPY that LOOKS intimidating and weighs 100lbs. People take one look at him and assume the worst. And once they have that mindset, it's a wrap. I can't express my disappointment, shock, and frustration at the unprofessional, incompetent handling of our boy. This is supposed to be a veterinarian that is proficient at dealing with dogs. I can only assume that "if" these behaviors had taken place with a smaller breed, we would not have received the same call. As Corso owners we have experienced this with random people we come across but did not expect this - especially from a place that should know better. Perhaps the staff are new or untrained or simply ignorant. Our pup has been in obience training since 4 months and has been heavily socialized so this is not a matter of him being the problem. I regret trusting them with our boy! Luckily we have a friend who was able to pick him up and he witnessed first hand how they acted afraid of our pup. They wouldn't even approach or unlock his supposedly "luxury" kennel. Seriously?!? For a puppy? I'm thankful that we got him out of there and will never utilize their services again. ** UPDATE: I am not surprised that not accountability was taken by this vet. Much better to create a laughable narrative to avoid acknowledging poor service and performance. Super interesting that our pup was never labeled aggressive during the months that he was seen there. Yes, please point out the career of the friend that went to pick our sweet boy up. Shout out to Don Armstrong, hands down best dog trainer ever. A true professional who knows our pup and can confirm that he is not aggressive at all. You all failed and would rather attempt to turn the tables. No wonder you have sucj high turnover and cant retain quality employees (besides Jamie, who is incredible) Better train your staff and stop being ignorant and ridiculous. This was a a complete rip off and indicative of the poor, lackluster service. Hope you do better in the future!
We had to bring our Kitty in without an appt and the staff was very friendly and helpful in working us in. The vet was amazing and the compassion and care was top notch! A different visit...this time for my 10 yr old dog. I couldn't have asked for better care! The compassion and care they provided my baby girl was far beyond exceptional! And their extreme kindness to this anxious owner will never be forgotten! Thank you to the entire staff!!
