They were able to see our pet within a quick turnaround, and we learned our pet was in much worse shape than originally expected. The vet herself was friendly and compassionate and so was the staff. Where we thought this whole experience fell short was associated with their handling of clerical tasks... the worst of it being when we requested for the release of our pet's consultation notes and imaging/labwork on three separate days following the visit, where on each day, the office ensured it would be emailed to us by EOD. On the fourth day, I had called back again, but by this point, we had put our pet down at an ER the day before, during which we had to verbally communicate to the ER vet all the findings from our prior visit with the Animal Health Group; imagine explaining to your personal doctor what specifically the radiologist found on your x-ray/CT images. Ironically, the office failed to send the documentation to the correct emails on the release form, which required another call back by me... some important context when reading this is that this took place over less than a week span. After informing the office about our pet's outcome at the time of requesting our pet's documentation (on the fourth day), we didn't receive any communication from neither the vet nor the office addressing this predicament, not that they were obligated to. In summary, I felt that this office's clinical competence seemed fine and the staff was good in face-to-face interactions with both you and your pet, but the events that culminated associated with following-up left me feeling very disappointed, which is the grounds for this 3/5 star review.
I can't say enough good things about this office . I was a new patient and they took Belle in right away . The staff was kind caring and very knowledgeable the took such good care of her and within hours she was feeling better . Office was also immaculate and our results for tests came in less than 24 hours . Also open on a Sunday which was wonderful . Many thanks to everyone there . Highly recommend .
I have been there many times both for my cat and GSD. They are always nice and helpful. When we decided to take out cat overseas they helped me with every step, asked airlines and destination country to made sure we did everything right. Then we adopted a senior GSD. First thing was visiting their office. They are very gentle with my dog and she loves everybody in this office. Someone always call next day to make sure everything is okay. I don’t think they are more expensive than other vets and give detailed bills. I strongly recommend them.
Friendly staff. Easy to make an appointment. I like how they follow up the day after to make sure everything is ok. I don't like how they're a bit unorganized and pretty overpriced.
This is the absolute best vet on staten island!!! They truly care about your pets and go over and beyond to give you the best treatment!!! I highly recommend them they are amazing!!!! Thank you doctors and staff you guys are a blessing!!!!
Went back and forth for what we thought was an infection on my cat's ear. Months of steroids, antibiotics, sprays, and creams and each time we went they said it looks like it's getting better (we must have gone 5 times in the span of 4 months). After 4.5 months they finally tell me it looks like it could possibly be skin cancer and to go see a dermatologist. Went to a different vet for a second opinion, and they told me go to a surgeon ASAP to remove the mass on his ear. Now even though my cat has had his ear surgically removed, the cancer has spread. If they told me that skin cancer was a possibility early on, I would have seen a specialist right away.
