Such a caring group at Metairie Humane! And all volunteer! Donations go straight for animal care. Their rescue organization has saved so many lives and made so many homes happier at the same time! They meticulously vet each rescue to ensure adopters know what to expect and get a happy healthy pup!! Please consider adoption over shopping! And you’ll find some awesome small and medium sized pups at MHS!!

A wonderful place to “shop” for a pet. Everyone knowable about all the pets and how to care for. Went in for a poodle, with my poodle. She needed companionship , and how to eat healthy pet food. No poodle, but mixed ? Dog- Hodey- 9 months old. A true escape artist. What a blessing. Tiffany- my made up name for her- changed my life and My poodle life forever. Now, they eat, play, urinate, sleep together. She is a super loving dog. Many, many Thanks to Cindy- adoption coordinator- making Tiffany the loving pets she is and ALL of her help making sure I had the knowledge and supplies to care for Tiffany. Super thankful and grateful that she selected me to care for Tiffany. ❤️🐶🐕‍🦺

Mr. Harold and Mr. Bill are a God-send not only to Metairie but Jefferson Parish. They made our adoption easy, and stress free! But more than anything it was an education process that our local vet failed to inform us on many needed vaccines. We feel like we have a new extended family!
