Abysmally horrible customer service. Obviously the city directs resources to other areas than this but there’s a complete lack of effort to answer calls egregiously under serving the community. Called multiple days multiple times staying on hold until it kicked me off each time.

The courts ordered the shelter to return my dogs over a week ago. And we still haven't got them. Their hour of operation is sutch that they can't be for the animals. We have done everything we were supposed to do. We can't get them to answer the phone. And 90% of the time you can't leave a message. I'm not sure where or when things went so bad. But I do know this crew need to go and a new one put in place.

Everyone of the employees that work their stem down from Kit and Josh with their holy acting attitudes like they do no wrong. I don't know how many times I've called up there during open hours which are half days so there is a 4 hour period it's not like they don't have the help there is always more than one person there. What do they have to hide by the locked door even when they are open I don't want to say to much because they still have my dogs and they might accidentally euthanize them, which I've also heard from volunteers how they do that along with when people do finally get their pets back they are traumatized and are never the same because of how poorly they treat them and if it's anything like they treat us it can't be good. Basically they do whatever they want.

Been trying for over month now to follow up on a complaint that I filed in their online form. Nothing has been done about the dangerous situation that has caused us to not even be able to safely use our backyard. Then again today the aggressive dogs are unchained and unsupervised in their backyard. They almost got my young child this time. You call and get out on hold and then are hung up on after 15-20 minutes of the message saying “please hold for the next available agent” and hold music. What are my next steps to do if the online complaint was never addressed and you can’t get ahold of an actual person? These pits are extremely dangerous and are going to hurt someone.

Supervisor Kit Baumgartner, Senior Officer Heather Kellough, and Shelter Coordinator Josh Doss should be ashamed how they've run Animal Control into the ground. As you can see by other people's reviews, no one answers the phone, and no one helps the people that are asking for help. Sure they take in stray dogs if they have to and if you show up at the shelter personally, but it's the only basic thing the will do. No use in calling for help, they won't answer the phone or return your call. I'm speaking from personal experience and I've heard this from others as well. Upon seeing these reviews and calling myself for help with a loose aggressive dog, it's pretty obvious that Animal Control does not care about this city. They only take action after someone already has life threatening or serious issues.
