I was on the journey to look for a perfect dog, and this was the best place ever! We tried the Humane society first, but the Humane society was rude and took me as some irresponsible pet owner since one of our cats we adopted from there ran away 4 YEARS AGO! I was devastated at the fact I wasn’t allowed to adopt there now or ever again! But when I saw the C.A.R.E. Shelter, it immediately gave me hope and that hope was met, as I adopted a Beautiful puppy named Kingston, now named Pentious, and he is so well behaved! The staff were so nice and it didn’t take long to adopt! The staff even gave me a free collar, leash, and bandanna! Overall, this place is SO underrated and it deserves so much love!!

This place is really amazing. I love going in and getting to interact with the cats. The people there are super amazing as well. You can go in and out of each room freely, and normally, there are multiple cats in each room. They also have Guinea pigs from time to time. All of the animals are always super sweet and seem to be well taken. Care of I would 100% support this placeven if you aren't able to adopt a cat. I highly suggest going in and just showing some of the kittens and cats, some love.

CARE is hands down the best shelter in this area. My sweet husky mix, Minny was at the city shelter scheduled to die. She could not be adopted because in true husky fashion, she ran away from anyone who adopted/fostered her. CARE workers had Minny off of death row, spayed, chipped, and vet checked within 2 days. Five years later and after several escapes, I could not imagine my life without my Minny. Please understand they are the last hope for animals on death row.

We adopted a cat from them about 4 days ago. It was a fast and easy adoption. We love her more then anything. Definitely recommended this place if your looking to adopt.

We went to meet a pup we were interested in adopting, the staff was knowledgeable and kind. They definitely show a love for animals. We adopted the boy and he is the happiest boy. Ill definitely go back to adopt a cat soon.

Very sweet workers! We got help from Annie, and despite not seeing any puppies that worked for what we were looking for (a service dog prospect), we got to meet and pet several of the doggos! If you see George (brindle & white), housed with Lando (a catahoula mix), please give him extra pets from me! He is the sweetest boy, and if it were up to me we'd have taken him home! Whoever ends up with him will be a super lucky person! Along with Lando (Though he needs some one-on-one training since he's still very puppy-like) and also Odin! Odin is an absolute sweetie, he's brindle too, and his story is so sad. Either way, the dogs there are all well cared for and loved and the staff are all super sweet and want to get these dogs homed to good homes!
