The behavior specialist named Linda at the adoption center and some of the women staff were super mean and unfriendly. She shouldn't be allowed to work with animals or people. The staff and the front desk were really nice and helpful. If they want people to adopt their animals they need to be nicer instead of being snooty and rude. Very unfortunate for the animal's sake. They should decide if they want their animals to go to good homes or if they want to drive away nice people who are trying to adopt. If their goal is to house these animals in a nice home they should start having a nicer attitude to people who walk in and show genuine interest. We were looking at getting another cat because one of ours recently passed. When we called them asking for advice about how to help our other bereaved cat they finally called back, left an inaudible message. The people there say they care about the animals but they didn't once my 15 year old cat was dead. I'm not sure why I ever started bringing my cats to this vet.

My family and I adopted a cat here yesterday. We went 2 days ago initially to meet some kitties, and fell in love with one of the cats they had there. We would not have been able to smoothly go through this process without the help of Michelle! She was amazing explaining our new kitty’s personality, and getting a hold down for her so we could get her the next day. She was super helpful, and definitely recommend talking to her if you go in! P.s. here is our new baby, Pepper!

About a week ago my bf and I adopted our perfect dog Bilbo (AKA Ross), we had great experiences there - clean environment and animals were receiving lots of love from the staff! We feel very lucky to have Bilbo, he is the sweetest guy and very well-behaved despite being a 7-month-old baby! Thank you ARL-Boston for making this happen!!

I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing and heartbreaking experience with this shelter. I brought my kitten here, hoping she would be cared for and loved, but what I encountered was far from that. The people working at this shelter are incredibly heartless. When I went back to the shelter to reclaim my kitten, I witnessed another family arriving to surrender their own pet. Despite my desperate pleas, the staff wouldn't even allow me a moment to say goodbye to my baby. It was evident that their primary concern was not the well-being of the animals, but rather the financial transactions involved. This shelter is a horrible place, devoid of compassion and empathy. They treat these innocent animals as mere commodities, and it breaks my heart to think about the kind of care they might be receiving. If you care about your pets, please consider other options before bringing them to this shelter.

I’ll give you 5 stars….You are definitely good people. I just adopted a cat named Dough Boy. The workers at Chandler St location were helpful and explained in detail what I needed to know about this adoption.( It was helpful to know the cst’s history) They did it all in a positive and cheerful way. Note from Dough Boy.( Omg they changed my name to Matteo?? ) I eluded them for 2 days straight but it was their fault. They thought to put me in their cellar which was clean and neat enough but I still was able to hide quietly and stay hidden from them…I used every muscle in my 9 pound body. I finally gave in. Now I have a room of my own. They call it the computer room which has two strongly screened windows. I look out over this grassy hill with trees and lots of plants and even birds. Oh my. Today was, I think a bit of a spa day. I got brushed and brushed so my fur almost looks shiny. Did the roll over and belly thing, too. These folks like that. Hoping I can stay here but haven’t met the princess cat of the house. Let’s hope we get along. Thanks especially to Betsy. She found me this home. Dough Boy ( Matteo’s going to take a bit getting used to)
