I've adopted 2 male kittens at ARL, Buzzball & Genoa, now aka Mango & Merlin, both are sweet, very affectionate, smart, active and loads of fun! The staff is amazing and very friendly, knowledgeable about the animals up for adoption, great place to find great fur babies, so go there and save a couple of lives✨️💙💙✨️,your life will be complete🌿⚘️
we got adora from here (we renamed her jett) july 2023, comparing to how she was at first(shy and reserved) she’s now the sweetest cuddliest cat🩷, she also gets along with my previous cat i got from this shelter too(miss elizabeth)
We adopted. Great service. We have had our dog for 5 days and love him. New note below on 9/21/21. Going strong now with Ace after 2 months on 9/6. We love him. He is a challenge, loving, fun, and tiresome, but most of all, he is a blessing to our family. He is so spoiled with toys, snacks, playtime, and love. He loves everyone in our family and lets you know this when you arrive home or simply come in the room. He is not just man's best friend. He is a families best friend!!! We love our Ace. It's 2024, and he is still loving and challenging, but he is our family.
My family and I adopted a cat here yesterday. We went 2 days ago initially to meet some kitties, and fell in love with one of the cats they had there. We would not have been able to smoothly go through this process without the help of Michelle! She was amazing explaining our new kitty’s personality, and getting a hold down for her so we could get her the next day. She was super helpful, and definitely recommend talking to her if you go in! P.s. here is our new baby, Pepper!
The behavior specialist named Linda at the adoption center and some of the women staff were super mean and unfriendly. She shouldn't be allowed to work with animals or people. The staff and the front desk were really nice and helpful. If they want people to adopt their animals they need to be nicer instead of being snooty and rude. Very unfortunate for the animal's sake. They should decide if they want their animals to go to good homes or if they want to drive away nice people who are trying to adopt. If their goal is to house these animals in a nice home they should start having a nicer attitude to people who walk in and show genuine interest. We were looking at getting another cat because one of ours recently passed. When we called them asking for advice about how to help our other bereaved cat they finally called back, left an inaudible message. The people there say they care about the animals but they didn't once my 15 year old cat was dead. I'm not sure why I ever started bringing my cats to this vet.
After being recommended to this location from other town shelters, I was very impressed with service, being organized and selection of pets. Mine was for a 6 month old cat named Jasper. Thorough adoption process.
