Our lab Hazel was treated for a life threatening condition and diagnosed with Addison’s disease here. No one ever wants to visit the emergency vet, but the front desk staff, assistants, techs, and doctors were excellent and we felt that Hazel was in very capable hands. Everyone we spoke to was kind, compassionate, and patient during this very stressful time for us. We felt that our bill was also reasonably priced given the level of care she required. The facility was clean and tidy. We also really appreciated the photo/text updates and the ability to visit during her hospitalization. Thank you SO much to Dr. Erickson, Dr. Carver, and the rest of the team for taking such great care of our furry family member and restoring her to good health. We are so grateful for you!

A couple weeks ago I had to bring my oldest girl Emily in for a life threatening emergency, and as I am from Grand Forks, it was so scary having to leave her, but Red River Animal Emergency Hospital took such amazing care of her, and kept me in the loop the whole time she was in their care. I also loved all the photos they sent me of Emily! If it wasn’t for them, I don’t know if my baby would still be here. The Vets were so kind, and gave me so much hope that she would get better! Because of them she is home and doing amazing! I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of her! Thank you guys so much! ❤️

Red River Animal Hospital has taken amazing care of my animals in person and over the phone. I live 4 hours away and it feels like they’re right there the whole time. They’ve given terrific hands on care to my cat during his asthma attacks and advised me well over the phone. They instructed me start to finish when my puppy got sprayed in the face by a skunk. Thankfully, everything they would’ve used to treat I had on hand and they walked me through how to de-skunk her eyes and mouth. They helped me save my dog. Helped me save my car’s cloth interior from forever smelling of skunk. They were so kind and helpful. It’s nice to know we can count on them wherever we are.

Red River Oncology took amazing care of our pup! Even though she was there for chemotherapy, she looked forward to going to see her "friends". Dr Wolf was amazing keeping us up to date on her progress and addressing any concerns we had. We would highly recommend Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Oncology to anyone who is devoted to their pet's care. We most appreciated their connection with our girl. Because of that connection, there was no doubt that they always had her best interest in mind.

Stella had her eye removed due to glaucoma. Some of her stitches had come out, and since it was a Saturday we brought her to Red River (we are from Minnesota and our vet was closed). Excellent care, excellent communication. Every staff member was courteous, attentive, and helpful. The level of communication is comforting. Very knowledgeable staff, she received excellent care! This was her second visit here in both times were A+. Highly recommend!

If I could give 10 stars I would. My first time at Red River Animal Emergency Hospital was in May when I lost my Husky very unexpectedly to illness. This team had never met my Husky nor myself but I felt like we were given the VIP treatment from the moment we walked up to the front desk to the moment I walked out in a broken-hearted daze. My poor boy was too sick to be saved that day, but I witnessed first hand how the entire team did everything in the whole world to save him. Dr. Anderson and Dr. Wigglesworth were incredible but to be honest, it was every single person over 10 hours and 2 shifts that gave everything they had to save my sweet dog and it meant everything to me on a horribly traumatic day. My second trip was this week when my new Husky, fresh from a Los Angeles shelter and with me for less than a week, made a meal of a pair of knee socks. We were up in Grand Forks and made the trip down. Once again they got us in immediately and were able to induce vomiting before things got worse for him. Dr. Griep was awesome, as was the team up front. I feel like there is naturally a some hesitation about whether it is really necessary to run to the emergency vet due to concerns about how "bad" the bill will be. In both instances I've walked away feeling like the bill was a lot more reasonable than I was anticipating based on the care and treatment received. More importantly, the care is second to none! Thank you to all of you at Red River Animal Emergency Hospital for going above and beyond!
