My experience at Eye Care for Animals absolutely could not have been better! My dog had a growth on her eyelid that was touching her eyeball and causing pain and discomfort. I am beyond amazed that they could make my dog so comfortable that they could remove it without even putting her under anesthesia! In addition to saving money, this was much easier on my dog, espeically since she is a senior. She was so relaxed at her appointments. The doctor and the technicians that assisted us were top notch. It's pretty scary to have your a surgery done on the eyes, where a little mistake could leave your beloved dog without sight. I trusted the staff and felt confident leaving my dog with them. The picture is taken just 2 weeks out, so further healing will occur and her eyelid will heal great.

I do not recommend bringing a cat here, though it seems from the reviews there are better luck with dogs. Dr. Steele seemed irritated, frustrated, and/or annoyed at looking at my cat's eye problem. Her staff left me in the exam room for 30 minutes before coming into the room to perform the exam, with no checking in or notice at all. I do not feel her exam was thorough nor considered other symptoms my cat was having, which turns out my cat likely has really bad allergies. Dr. Steele was ready to either give my cat an injection or surgery, claiming her issue was herpes without really knowing. Anti-virals did nothing for my cat and Dr. Steele wanted to give them one more go before moving onto other options despite no improvement; a move I can only assume was to continue to generate revenue. Front desk staff were not friendly. Probably better off going to Sac or SF.

Eye Care for Animals is amazing! My dog has had eye problems for a couple of years. Vet tried everything. Was told about Eye Care, made an appt and my dog is already getting better within 2 days! The doctors and staff were so nice and helpful. I highly recommend!!!

I didn't know that dog eyeball doctors were even a thing but I'm glad they are. Eye Care for Animals takes great care of my Fuzzy and are very helpful when I have to bring my small, busy children with me.

Could not recommend Dr. Steele and Dr. Rowan enough. They performed a procedure on our pup to amputate her third eyelid where a cancerous lump had formed. She has healed so well and is cancer-free! We are so happy with the service and compassion we received from every employee we encountered. Thank you all!
