If you're looking for a place to adopt a bird, NW Parrot Rescue is the one! We got 2 cockatiels from Chris and he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. His care package will keep us in stock of food and treats for months, and the birds love the toys he gave us. He walked us through everything to know about our birds and helped us set everything up from the tiniest thing you wouldn't even think of. It was an amazing experience and it was great seeing how much care and love Chris and his team has with the birds and families that are adopting. Would definitely recommend to anyone at any experience level looking for birds!

What impressed us most about Chris and the Northwest Parrot Rescue was Chris , along with his team's dedication to saving birds that were in such a bad situation and giving them a home, to rehabilitate, heal and trust again, eventually to find the perfect home. Chris made us feel at home, let us meet his flock and teach us the correct dietary needs of each bird and how to bond with a newly homed bird to gain their trust. Long story short we decided to adopt Ruby, Chris agreed we were a good fit. He drove Ruby , her cage and a lot of food and toys to our home, a 160 miles one way, then set everything up and went over all of Rubys needs, not only dietary, but emotionally too. It was clear he has each birds' best interest at heart! I'm not just blown away, but so impressed with Chris and his team at Northwest Parrot Rescue, and what he does with Vets and Birds. All the great stuff that came with the adoption; more than a month's worth of food, supplies to make fresh daily chop. Chris went on to give a detailed list of what went into the chop mix, he also went over the seed mix, percent of each of the ingredients that make up the mix. I think the best part of the process was the acclimation procedure, a three part process. We were given everything that we needed to make our adoption a success. Chris even thought about the other birds in our flock and gave us treat and toys for them. He had a huge supply of toys and perches, T stands, and we came home with this magnificent T-stand to put and a large branch perch in the new play area were are adding on in the birdroom.

I adopted a goffin cockatoo from NW Parrot Rescue. Harry is so sweet, tame and a happy little bird. The application process was simple. Chris was a pleasure to work with. Harry’s care package came with all the necessary items and much more. He came home with a brand new cage, food, treats, toy’s and etc.. Chris also gave me a very nice discount. I couldn’t be more pleased and happy on how everything went from filling out the application to bringing Harry home. The whole experience was amazing. Thank you Chris

If you’re considering getting a pet bird I highly recommend adopting from NW Parrot Rescue. They are very careful with who they place their birds with and make sure it’s a safe and right fit. Chris provided us with SO much knowledge and tools on proper bird care. We are forever grateful that they chose us to start our journey with Christopher, a 3 year old cockatiel. He is the sweetest boy and we are thrilled he is now a part of our family. The amount of care and love NW Parrot Rescue puts into all their birds is heartwarming and tells us just how much they truly care. I 100% recommend this organization and the work they do.

I have complete faith in NW Parrot Rescue. I purchased my Congo African grey male as a baby, he is now 25 years. I contacted Chris last year and he has talked me thru behavior and food ideas, which is always a challenge at times. They are wonderful people, know what they are doing to help the parrot world. Their site is very informational, with great ideas. Thank you!

Chris and his team at NW Parrot Rescue are tremendous human beings and it was apparent very quickly when I reached out to Chris that he cares deeply about helping both birds and people. My husband passed away recently and I had to make the extremely difficult decision to find a new home for our blue and gold Macaw. She had been with my husband for 30 years (long before we were married) and as much as I love her, I knew I was not capable of providing her with her best bird life. Chris was extremely detailed, patient and understanding while we worked through the process of getting our bird to him. He took the time to learn as much about her as possible so he could make her feel secure and at-home. Chris's aviary is amazing, extremely clean and obviously a very happy place for the birds who are in his team's care. I can't describe the relief I felt knowing our sweet bird will be in such good hands until Chris finds a forever home for her. I am 100% confident he will take the time to make sure her forever-family is thoroughly vetted and that she is placed with the right person/people. I really can't say enough good things about NW Bird Rescue, or about how much gratitude I have for their organization.
