I'm a birth mother who gave my child up for adoption seven years ago. We send packages back and forth for birthdays and holidays. I send them through Adoption Covenant for my child's protection. Every package I send doesn't get passed on and I have to call Adoption Covenant repeatedly and ask them to send it. They say they'll take care of it and they don't and I have to call again... and again... and again. The adoptive parents call about it too. It always takes several calls. The average turn around time on packages is four to six months. Is it too much to ask for my kiddo to get her birthday gifts in time for her birthday ever? It feels like they throw birth mothers in the garbage once the deal is sealed. Additionally, when I was pregnant they incessantly asked me if I was sure about my decisions, like day in and day out, to the point that it felt like straight up harassment. Dealing with this company has made me feel more open minded to women's "options" because dealing with Adoption Covenant has been such a nightmare as a birth mother.
