Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital has been my VET since the day they opened. They understand my dogs are not just "animals" but part of my "family" that I love dearly. The genuine concern is felt from the moment you walk in the door and check in until you leave. The ONLY place I will board my senior dogs (both of mine are senior). As part of the family, I am very selective as to who I trust with my dogs and MMAH is one I trust. Highly Recommend
They had been our dog vet for 8 years and always gave him a clean bill of health. We took our dog 2 weeks ago because our dog was lethargic and not acting right. They diagnosed him with pancreas issue and gave him medicine. He got worse and we decided to take him to NCSU Vet hospital. We were just told that he has Fluid around his heart, lung cancer and a tumor on his heart. Now we are having to make the hard decision to decide when to let him go. This happened all in a matter of 3 weeks. I would NEVER take my animal back to them. Clean bill of health to this in weeks doesn't happen if someone was doing their job.
I have been going here for 20 plus years. I love them. They have helped us keep long lived and loved pets. I admire the work they do with rescues. The rescues are socialized in the office and they are wonderfully loved. My husband and I recently adopted our foster dog from there and I absolutely adore her. I look forward to many more years at Mitchell Mill.
As always the service at Mitchell Mill animal hospital is exceptional. Holly required emergency surgery and Mrs Covington took care of her. I also love the fact they look after rescues before re homing them, from which we originally got Holly. 10/10.
Please do your research before choosing this place for your pet! Dr. Covington (I’m using the word doctor lightly) is RUDE she has let us down multiple times. Around 2 years ago we had taken our former dog there for a removal of a cyst or tumor that he had gotten we weren’t sure of what it was but Dr. Covington informed us that it was nothing major like cancer when she removed it so it didn’t need testing… Well the lumps came back stronger and began to spread, then proceeds to overdose him with pain meds while in the middle of all of this. Our sweet boy passed away a few weeks after because she had claimed there was nothing else she could do. Fast forward to today… me and my sister went up to the office to inquire about a pup they had up for adoption, we talked to the front desk lady and she was nice. In the middle of our conversation Dr. Covington walked up and was immediately rude. She was very dismissive and unprofessional about any questions we had we felt as if she just wanted us to get out of her hair and that we weren’t capable of having the dog. We will not be going back for anything and if you love and value your pet stay away from this office!
These vets lovingly did a three extraction dental on my small dog for a fraction of the price that it would’ve cost me locally. I also adopted my dog from there eight years ago. I am very thankful for Mitchell Mill animal Hospital and will be visiting them again, thank you so much.
