Description Sometimes all you need is a Second Chance! Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit animal rescue organization that has rescued stray or abandoned cats and dogs in the Triangle Area of North Carolina since 1987. Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill rescue organization in Wake County. At Second Chance, our mission is to champion homeless cats and dogs who are healthy or treatable in the quest to find their forever homes and engage with our community to promote responsible pet ownership–ultimately reducing future generations of homeless animals.

I had a wonderful experience. I really feel the rescue tries to pair you with the best furry family members possible for your family and situation. Jess is AMAZING. Super clean facility and they let you meet the sweet babies as long as you’d like to interact before deciding to adopt. I truly believe they want to pair every sweet baby with the right home. I adopted Pharaoh and Egypt and fell in love with them. They’re wonderful with both my kids and the sweetest pair of kittens I’ve ever met. We love them so so much!

Second chance is the best. I got my beautiful dog from them and they make the process so easy and accommodating. They also take care of the animals beyond adoption and have the best interest in their animals. This place saves so many animals and they are great.

Me and my sister in law were wanting to adopt puppies at the same time and Second Chance was able to find puppies from the same litter! We fostered them until they were old enough for adoption. The staff is helpful and friendly. You can tell everyone there really cares about the animals in their care! So happy to have done our adoption through such a great place ☺️

10 years ago, I met both of my kitties here. The staff were super friendly, encouraging and had a plethora of resources to provide for a first time cat owner. We will be back when it's time to add another furry ball of fury!

I came here looking for a dog for little to no experience owning one before. They were able to find me a dog that fit my lifestyle perfectly. That was almost 5 years ago, and I still have my best friend Poe! ♥️ These people really care about the animals they rescue and will do anything for them.
