While me and my family appreciate the information given it could be given in a less condescending way. We didn't feel appreciation in the slightest for even bring the animal up there. It was a lecture and "good intentions" speech. Quite frankly if people knew what to do with these poor animals there wouldn't be a need for a wildlife center in the first place So how about some appreciation for the people with enough intellect and critical thinking to know they can't care for such an animal and seek out the experts. I'm sure alot of people could either care less or attempt handling it themselves and fail doing it. You want the animals in the wild? Show some appreciation to the people that want the same thing and bring animals to you for that very purpose. Other than that there was good information and seemingly expert staff. My son was thrilled to have the opportunity to bring in our animal.

Found this little guy cowering in the corner of our porch. He looked so small so I grabbed him and brought him to the wildlife rehab. I was worried he fell off his mama while she was running from our cats and or dogs. She told me that this guy is actually big enough to be on his own. She said if-- from the tip of their nose to the of the tail -- is longer than or the size of a dollar bill, they are old enough to be on their own. They will not be able to take UNINJURED animals. They did find puncture wounds so they admitted the little guy. They are a 100 per cent fundraiser or donation based. Very helpful!

I called Carolina Wildlife Center after I saw two live chickens on the interstate. They rescued them and called me to let me know they were able to catch two. Several others perished which broke my heart. I'm so thankful for organizations such as this that take care of animals that share this earth with us.

Brought a baby bird I found in my yard that had fell out of the nest. The girl who came out was rude . She picked it up.said it was healthy and a fledgling. I said well I didn't want my dogs to eat it. She said we recommend leash walking your dog.i said we have 14 that's not going to be possible . She rudly said " why u have 14 dogs" didn't even look at me when she said it. I said we love dogs . She said do u know where the nest is. I said no . It's up in the tree somewhere. Finally I said is there a problem? She said well we recommend putting it back in its nest because it'll have more of a chance that way than here and I said well I can't climb a tree. Our trees are like 30 ft tall and I don't know what nest it fell out of so I can't climb a tree. I said. I'm sorry. I said I didn't want my dog to eat it either. She said well, I'll take it inside and fill out that card. I'll be right back. First of all, it's none of her business How many dogs I have. Second of all I can't help I can't climb a tree and I don't know what nest to put the bird in. I could have left it on the ground like some people would have and let my dog eat it. But I think I was being a pretty good person driving all the way over there to bring them the bird. I think it has more of a chance with them than it would on the ground here. When she came back out she told me to wait 24 hours before a call in and then she said we y all stay safe. Have a good day. I didn't even respond, I just got in the car and left. I mean worst experience and I think that I've brought something to them before and she's been rude before

We had an experience taking an injured wild rabbit here. It ended up being a very short visit, and the rabbit died on our trip in, but the girl that helped us was really nice.

We have taken 2 baby blue jays and now an injured hawk to this facility! The employees were helpful and responded quickly to our buzzer ring! They also were able to give us a case number so we could find out what was wrong with the hawk once they knew. Very nice setup for drop off cages, thank you for the work you guys are doing!
