Description Kneading Kitty’s Rescue is a fully volunteer run 501c3 non profit no kill cat rescue. We are a foster based rescue and proudly operate in partnership with PetSmart Scottsdale Promenade in their adoption center at 16257 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale Az. When our kitties are not at the adoption center they reside in loving foster homes. Our goal is to find loving homes for all the kits in our care.

We adopted two kittens from Kneading Kitty’s Rescue and were very pleased with our experience. They paid for a doctor’s visit for one of the kittens to check out a possible herniated disc they observed before they let us take her home when they could easily have overlooked it or not mentioned it to us. They let us take the other kitten the day we came in and made coordinating with us for the second kitten effortless for us. They even microchipped the kittens. Our kittens are happy, healthy, socially adjusted. You can tell they were well taken care of.

We adopted our kitten a little over a month ago from Kneading Kitty's and we love her so much! Amanda, whose home she was being fostered at, is such a wonderful person and went above and beyond to help us out as first time pet owners and we are so grateful for it. You can really tell how well loved and cared for their cats are and any questions you may have or help you may need post-adopting will be answered. We are so obsessed with our little kitty Phoebe (originally Fancy Nancy) and have probably 8000 photos of her in our camera rolls already. She is the sweetest and snuggliest kitty ever. Thank you again Amanda and Kneading Kitty's :)

I adopted a sweet black boy earlier this month from the Scottsdale petsmart. I have two other babies and everything couldn’t have went smoother for the transition process. Everyone was kind and informative through the initial adoption process. I have no complaints and would gladly adopt through petsmart again but I will be more cautious. Two things I haven’t received the email for the microchip to get him registered yet. The other one is during his initial first and free vet check up I noticed he would scratch a lot with his ears so I had the vet take a closer look at them. Turns out he had ear mites when he just came from a foster and had only been in petsmart less than a few hours before I came and adopted him. I’m confused on if no one noticed his scratching or if he passed it on to other kittens as he was living with his sister…I was surprised, this was my first adoption through petsmart so I will be more observant next time. So far I do not think he has passed them on to my two other kitties but because that my free vet visit turned into 170 visit with medication/treatment and then I still need to follow up a week later for another appointment…and not to mention if I need to take my other 2 in surely over 200 each…just was not expecting this or was given any information or heads up. Other than that he had been an absolute cuddle bug and one of the sweetest boys.

What a wonderful experience! After our dog of 15 years passed last summer, our home felt empty. We decided at the beginning of this year to get a cat, and 6 weeks ago we started picking up things we would need. While we were out, we decided to stop in at the Scottsdale, AZ PetSmart location to just see what cats Kneading Kitty's Rescue had. Little did we know that we'd fall in love with the first one they introduced us to! The volunteers (Tracy & her husband) were so thorough & helpful, and you can really tell how much they love these animals. They answered all of our questions, helped us find the right things we needed for our new friend (including helping us put together the carrier), and made sure we had their contact info for any further assistance. We could tell that the animals here are well taken care of! The continued follow up to check on him and his progress has been wonderful. Laszlo has been such a perfect addition to our home and our whole extended family just loves him as much as we do! I highly recommend this Rescue to anyone looking for a loveable cat companion!!

Recently this year, my boyfriend and i adopted peanut from here. He’s a little orange tabby mix, and has been the absolute perfect addition to our home! He’s so sweet, silly, and surprisingly well behaved! We love him with all of our hearts. The adoption process was pretty simple, and didn’t take too long at all. Attached is a photo of peanut !

Adopted Angel (originally Gwen) in May 2023 from Kneading Kitty’s Rescue in Petsmart. She is a super sweet and social kitty that has made an amazing addition to our home! It is apparent that the rescue and fosters take amazing care of their cats. I will definitely choose this rescue again and recommend to all people looking to adopt a cat.
