Pet Pal is probably my favorite thing about St. Pete. They genuinely care about the animals and do such a great job giving back to the community. Not to mention, I was lucky enough to rescue one of my pups from them. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

I volunteer and foster for PetPal, they are an amazing organization. They try and work with potential adopters for the right fit, so hopefully animals won’t be returned. We have adopted 4 pets from them and love them so much. Actually 5 including my mother’s dog. I have had numerous friends that have found their forever pets from PetPal as well. Keep doing what you do.

Such a great experience at Pet Pal! I went in ~just to look~ and found the sweetest & quietest dog in the entire place, Velma. Her calm demeanor grabbed my attention and as soon as I asked to see her I was told “she’ll crawl right into your lap”. The staff let me spend one-on-one time with her and walk her outside. I could immediately see her becoming more comfortable with me and I knew I couldn’t leave her there. She was so happy when we got home to run around my backyard! I’m so happy I was approved to take her home. The staff was kind and answered all my questions & I could tell they were so happy but so sad to see this sweet girl leave!

Hi, I’ve been coming in for the last few months, donating blankets and totes along with dog food. I finally made the decision that I wanted to adopt a Chihuahua and I asked for assistance at the front desk. The lady with the short white hair did not offer to help me with the heavy doors to get into the pathway of where the pets are located for adoption. I’m physically disabled from my waist down, and I use for crutches. I asked for assistance to be on a list for any Chihuahuas that might come through and she mentioned to me that I would just need to continue coming in and out each day. And I had explained to her that Limitations in my walking, make it difficult to me for getting up and out of the house. I had preferred to be able to leave my phone number and she mentioned that they do not take phone numbers down because the pets go so quickly. However, I talk to the man that works in the back, and he said that some of the pets have been in the cages for up to a year. And when I mentioned that I wasn’t interested in the three-year-old Chihuahua because she had recently been spayed, she had insisted on wanting to bring her up, and I had mentioned that she looks very uncomfortable and did not want to be touched. I don’t think that you have the right staff handling the Customer Service because I felt extremely Talked down on. However, I have been donating more than $3000 worth of blankets and food over the last few months to build a energy with this pet shelter. You have lost me as a forever friend and I will continue praying for you.

I did community service here a few years ago and was treated extremely unkindly. I had finished my community service hours and just because I didn’t want to do extra work for them on my own accord they almost refused to sign my papers. because I didn’t want to finish the room after my community service hours ended. I ended talking with the director after he said me and my ex had been confused for the other couple doing community service there
