We are so happy with the staff at Fairgronds Animal Hospital. From the office staff to the Dr's to the technicians.Everyone is so nice, understanding and compassionate. We have been primarily dealing with Dani, she has been awesome, and helped me through some tough times. Our dog is thirteen years old and was just diagnosed with Diabetes. So there was a lot of learning on out part and Dani explained everything to us and answers all of our questions and is patient withus. We would highly recommend Faidround Animal Hospital/

I recently went here for a first appointment with our dog and cats, and the staff was SO nice! I’ve had weird experiences with other vets in the past where it felt judgemental or condescending when I had questions or they asked me questions, and this place had NONE of that! They were very kind and patient, and very understanding of our situation. They also gave me some really great advice for their general health and were overall very compassionate. It’s also nice to have a vet be so nice to my pittie when I’ve had vets seem uncomfortable or stoic with her! She started out stressed but ended up loving the staff and seeming much more relaxed.

I had a good experience with taking my pup to get his vaccines but when he got sick, my experience was completely different. If I could give a zero stars review I would. My dog ended up with unnecessary surgery cause the radiologist made a mistake. So after double bloodwork, 2 sets of x rays, one surgery, two stool tests(they LOST the first sample), over a month of worries and almost 6k. They couldn’t figure out why he had a constant cough. I was extremely disappointed with them. I ended up getting a new vet cause this was pure negligence and rudeness. PLUS every time I dropped my dog I told them he was allergic to chicken, but they gave him chicken treats and provided chicken food after surgery that he couldn’t have. All left to say is the front staff are very kind, but vets and technicians have zero communication between them and couldn’t care less about me and my dog.

My cat had a previously scheduled vaccination appointment, leading up to that appointment I had a few health concerns about him that I informed the vet tech about. When the Dr came in she asked me what my concerns are, since this was originally a vaccination appointment, anything that does not have to do with a vaccination is the problem. As I began to tell her HOW and WHEN his symptoms started, she rudely cut me off and told me that she already knew the story. It seemed like she was in a rush to get us out the door and had no interest. Finally, we were prescribed medication that the vet tech incorrectly labeled and laughed off— if the staff was not in such a rush I don’t think we would’ve had that problem. We have been going here for years and this is the first time we have had a problem like this, very concerning.

Both the office and the veterinary staff were courteous and professional while addessing my pup's issues, the anticipated costs, and the aftercare he would need. Equally as important, they were gentle and kind with us both!! Sincere gratitude and much appreciation for all your dedication ~ Tyler's humom

Dr. Rishwain at Fairgrounds Animal Hospital is the best vet ever. He took wonderful care of our elderly toy poodle, Rubi. When Rubi was 17, and ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge, he and his assistant, Samantha "Sam" made it the most warm and loving experience. They were so gentle with lil Rubi, wrapping her in a warm blanket, and letting us hold her as she peacefully passed. A week later, we received a card from them, signed with a sweet message from each of the entire staff. Along with 4 copies of her paw prints and a small plastic bag with some of her hair clippings. We highly recommend Fairgrounds Animal Hospital and Dr. Rishwain. When we get a new dog, it is the first place we will take them. Sharon Nickson Cox and Boyd Cox
