LCAS answered their phone and dispatched a unit promptly to collect a poor little pet someone hit on our street this morning. With tight funding & increased demand for services, it seems LCAS is doing the best they can. Thank you!

Lane county animal services outright hates animals. They blatantly disregard phone calls about animals in unsafe / life threatening situations. Staff is unfriendly and lacking in the empathy department. Y’all are straight up awful people.

My husband is a disabled Air Force EOD Vet. These people took his male pitbull, who is super friendly, because he was let out of our gate by neighbors that had come over. Now, my husband's other pitbull (also friendly) is my husband's service dog...can someone PLEASE TELL ME, how this is legally for. them to do!???

Amazing service, when we called about an animal, they picked the animal up within 40 minutes.

How does the Justice Court choose which citations to pursue? The vagrants who are allowed to carry as many pets in their hooptie RVs? The guy who used to live at Whitely Landing who would allow (to no opposition from sheriff or park managers) his dog to roam and approach everything/anyone unleashed? The vagrant who set his 4 dogs loose on me for asking him to restrain his other puppy at Hileman Landing? No. Also, don’t bother calling any violations in unless your friends with Stacy Manning or you’re actively being mangled alive. That way they can take the highest base fine possible and use it toward their next prospective office build, which won’t have any phone lines or knowledgeable staff. Because be sure if you ask about anything other than the weather they will blame you for any of THEIR troubles accessing THEIR grand database of prospective dunces.

Tried to report a dog on the loose in the road and called their number. All extensions have been shut down and the only person I could get ahold to was in Springfield. A single officer, not willing to come out to the Eugene area to help a dog.
