Cannot state enough how incredible of an experience I had with Wiggly Tails from start to finish. After losing our dog a few months ago, we finally felt ready to open our home to a new pup. We found their site and submitted an application to check out a few different litters. The application was thorough on dog ownership experience and clearly vets the best homes to reach out to. Within 24 hours a foster parent for one of the litters reached out, checked with my landlord that I am allowed to own this dog, and generally interacted with me to get a vibe on what sort of owner we would be. I appreciate them finding the right home for the right dog rather than first come first serve, which is clearly stated on their site. We went to a meet and greet the following weekend and left that same day with our beautiful Summer (formerly Tampa). She came home with us and her big brother immediately accepted her as one of the pack. It has only been a short time so far, but we can immediately tell that we found one of our dog soul mates. As long as we are in Eugene we plan on getting each of our next dogs from Wiggly if possible! And anybody I know who mentions they’re looking for their next four legged friend, they will be the first name out of my mouth. Thank you Cheryl and thank you Wiggly Tails!

When I first met the dog I adopted, I was told that he was an all around calm dog with no behavioral problems at all and no problems going into a crate. Within the first 14 days of having him, he caused damage to my apartment and was flipping his crate and destroying things from inside it (while still trapped). When I reached out to his previous foster, she was amazingly responsive and helpful. After talking to others at the rescue, she told me that it sounds like he needed to be in a home with another dog (which I could not do). She let me know that she couldn’t foster him again but that someone would reach out to me and help find him a foster. Nobody reached out when they were supposed to. The next day, when she asked if anyone had and I told her no, she said that someone should reach out within the next hour. It took four/five hours for someone to reach out. When Nikole finally did reach out she was quite rude in the way she was talking to me and made me feel as though it was all my fault that he was behaving this way. Eventually after about an hour of grilling me and avoiding my questions, she told me that she could email me training guides and would come do a house visit. I told her when I was available and that I would greatly appreciate the training help if she believed that he could be in a home with no other dogs. After my text, I NEVER HEARD BACK. After the date had come and gone for the visit, I messaged Nikole asking for an update on a new visit or to be sent the training guides and was never responded to. It has now been two weeks since then and still have heard nothing.

Hands down, Wiggly Tails Rescue Organization is in my opinion hands down the best rescue organization. They are a nonprofit 501(c) (3) rescue organization that rescues dogs in high kill shelters in California. Laura Green is the best Executive Director and really knows her stuff. I’ve only interacted with her. On May 13, 2023, I went to PetSmart on Chad drive to a local adoption event that was from 12:00-4:00. I arrived at 10:00 because I really wanted to meet one pup and her name was Cheesecake! When I got there, nobody was there yet from Wiggly Tails and I didn’t mind. I waited very patiently and the wait is definitely worth it. A potential adopter was supposed to be there and time kept going by and going by. I told Laura to call or text me if things didn’t work out with the other potential adopter I’d come back and meet her or meet her the next day. I’d left at about 3:00 without Cheesecake. I’d gotten about 10 minutes away and had received a text from Laura that read, baby come back!! Oh man, my heart jumped up in my throat. I went back and Laura had told me things didn’t work out with the other potential adopter and asked me if I wanted to meet her. She didn’t even have to wait for my answer as she probably could hear the excitement in my voice when I called her after her text to me and I’d told her where I was and how long it’d take me to get back there. Cheesecakes foster mom brought her to me and oh my, she absolutely melted my heart and I know now that I melted hers. We both fell in love with each other right then and there. Cheesecake is now Zoë and my toddler fur child. She’s Japanese Chin/Pekingese x, to me though she’s all my baby girl. I don’t know what her life was prior to her rescue, but I know that her foster mom and Laura did an amazing job with her as you’d never know where she came from and you, like myself couldn’t imagine why someone would take her to such a place or if she was a stray, you’d never know now. Zoë’s 1000% spoiled, just as it should be and she’s living her best life thanks to Laura and Wiggly Tails. There is an adoption fee. It takes care of the gas to go down to California to get them and bring them back, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, a free bag of the dog food they’re already on, a free extensive veterinary visit(one supported by Wiggly Tails) their second sets of shots, their collar, and or harness and leash, a whole paper from PetSmart with amazing coupons, including grooming. It’s amazing to adopt a dog and or animal and I was lucky enough to cross paths with Wiggly Tails as I’ve adopted the perfect gem 💎 Thank you to Laura Green, staff and Wiggly Tails! I can’t say enough good things about Wiggly Tails! I highly, highly recommend Wiggly Tails Rescue Organization!

Gremlin has found her forever home Thank you to all of the staff who helped make this happen for me. I am a disable Army Vet, who is now sleeping better than before. Come find your your favorite furever friend 🧡.

"Non profit" that charges $1100 for an adoption fee? Feels pretty tacky regardless if you eventually find someone willing to pay that. I can only imagine all of the lost opportunities to find these dogs new homes to people looking to rescue. Seems like a real shame.

Thank you so much for giving me “Chiquita” as a house guest over eight years ago. She wasn’t quite as old as was thought at the time, so even better. What she lacks in size she makes up for with being the sweetest dog around. I’ve “had” dogs for my whole life, when possible, and I’ve never had one so friendly that virtually everyone she meets falls for her immediately, from grocery clerks to park walkers to bus drivers to—yep—police officers! I will to be looking for a doggie companion for her, now that the condos where I live are allowing two dogs. Can’t wait to give her a new canine friend!
