What can I say about this place except THANK GOD they are here for our community! Through the years, I've had the unfortunate task of finding, catching, and transporting two abandoned kittens and a dog to Green Hill the Manor. The surprising urgency with which Green Hill works to find good homes for their pets is impressive. From regularly offering pet introductions at PetSmart / Petco to their weekly spot on KPNW 1120 to discuss the Pet of the Week. They've been known to slice their adoption fees in half for animals not immediately adopted; all of the animals adopted have all of their shots / vaccinations; they are potty trained and have chips implanted, too! Meet Prince, a successful Greenhill alum, and a wonderful addition to our family.
We took in a kitten because it seemed sick so they kept him for a few days and he was fine when we picked him up . I'm still not sure what was wrong with him but he's fine now so that's great. Thank you !!! To all of you that were involved in his care .
12-2-24 I went in there today for the first time. I lost my oldest cat in October (he was 16 and passed away) and my 2nd oldest last week (he also passed away from a saddle thrombus). I wanted to adopt a kitten. The lady said there was a bonded pair ($300). She then said there were other cats that had ringworm...I said no thank you...I've got 5 healthy cats at home and do NOT want that in my house. I'm not sure what the big deal is....having to be escorted back there and have someone watching every move you make....the whole experience was disappointing to say the least. I will never go back there.
Wonderful people and a beautiful facility. The place was clean and you can tell the staff care about the animals.
I adopted our cat Medusa in October last year, she died months later in June from FIV. I called the shelter and let them know and they told me they don’t test for FIV because the blood work is too costly and the disease is rare. I’m devastated and don’t understand how they don’t test for something that is transmissible from one cat to another. So wrong to adopt out terminally ill animals. I laid her to rest the night before my wedding. Our hearts are broken. I don’t recommend Greenhill for this specific reason. I spent over 300$ on her and 1500$ putting her to rest in less than a year. They offered me nothing.
Unprofessional, rude, and they act like they're Saint Francis or something. I had a cat living on my patio for over a month. She obviously didn't have a home but was deemed a "community cat" even though I am the only one that takes care of her (including: not being spayed, having a skin infection, not getting regular food or water, and had an abscess on her tail. But yeah, a totally taken cared of "community cat". They don't ask questions , they just tell you what is going to happen. If anyone wants a long haired Siamese cat, let me know! She's going to be back in my backyard tomorrow, with no home, and no food, thanks a lot Greenhill! Go with CRAN. Go to Florence's Shelter on the coast. Don't come here.
