Always doing God's work! This place is so adorable (as well as the cats) and the kitties are healthy, happy and well taken cared for. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Place is clean and cats are well socialized. They are not for profit and run on donations. They can always use paper towels, kitten/cat food, litter, cat treats, toys, cleaning supplies etc and number 1, ADOPT A KITTY!đWould recommend to anyone looking to adopt a kitten or adult cat. They're simply the best.
I went in on one of the only 2 days they are open, walked in and was looked up and down multiple times before I was asked how I could be helped. I was looking for an indoor cat who was energetic and friendly. I found one cat in particular that I really liked and she stated that there was a âbidding warâ on him. Not sure how that is possible with a cat. I also mentioned another cat who I was interested in and she said that the cat is not adoptable because it put someone in the hospital, but it was wandering around among everyone, whether that is true or not, it is unsafe. It seemed like there was a different story for each and every cat I showed interest in. I continued to fill out an application, but never heard anything back. The woman at the counter is very unprofessional and all she seemed like she cared about was money. She saw a college student and was just making up prices in her head to see who was stupid enough to go for it. She did not make anyone feel comfortable or welcomed. DO NOT adopt a cat from here, some of the cats look sick and are not taken care of. They are all locked in dark rooms with no AC and not allowed to get out. This place seems like a non-legitimate business and only wants money. Whatever you do, DO NOT adopt a cat from here.
Do yourself a favor and donât adopt from this place. The lady that manages it, Ann, is very rude and will set you up to get ready for adoption, and then tell you that you canât on the day of the adoption. Horrible communication skills and will not let you adopt unless you meet all of their tiny requirements, not that theyâll tell you about them or give you room to explain your situation. There are plenty of places in Memphis looking to get cats a proper home. This is not one of them. All youâll find is disappointment.
Absolutely horrible of a business to tell an owner how to take care of their animals (ofcourse once they adopt them). Letâs be realistic here because animals are like kids to their owners so thatâs just like telling an adult how to parent their kids and that theyâre not allowed to go to public areas. You donât trap kids in the house so why donât expect owners to do so to animals when thereâs multiple animals on this earth that love nature and return back to their place of homes whether itâs inside a humans home or somewhere outside. Animals have a brain and are smarter than we think so who are you as a business to judge or to tell an animal owner how to shelter their pet. Once an animal is no longer in your possession as the business, you canât control the home or parent of the animal so why be judgmental about their ownerâs way of parenting or caregiving if it not intentional harm.
Cats were everywhere, but there was no odor. The cats are well cared for. All of the ladies that I encountered were warm and friendly. They appeared to really enjoy caring for their cats. Very inviting place.
I love this Rescue! The cats all look very cared for and loved. I adopted a 10 month old black kitten and we love her so much! Her name was Dolly but she is now Ruby. She fit right into our house hold and is a complete snuggle bug! I wish I could take all of them home with me, but it's comforting to know that until they find their forever home, they are being well cared for safe. Thank you Mewtopia Cat Rescue!
