We had our dog in for an injured leg while traveling. Employees were very nice but the follow up on getting our X-rays read have been very difficult. It's been 3 days and they haven't been read yet. Called a couple of times and we're short on the phone with us. Finally just having them forwarded to our vet
We had a mother cat get sick on Saturday evening because there is no better time to get sick said every pet ever. She had given birth about 5 days earlier. I thought she had mastitis and was going to get through the weekend and take her to the vet on Monday. A few hours later, she had a fever, had no interest in her kittens, and had a lot of very foul discharge. That's an emergency. We took her to Care Center in Mason knowing they are always one of the more expensive options. She had a kitten that wasn't born and needed an emergency spay so she didn't go septic. The cost to have Care Center do the procedure was way outside of what we had available. The vet was very understanding and kept our cat all day Sunday on IV antibiotics and fluids to help my little mama feel better and keep her from going septic. They even took money off the original estimate when I went to settle up with them. They couldn't have been kinder and more understanding in the midst of what sounded and looked like a very busy, stressful night and the next day. While I wouldn't recommend them for their pricing, I would for thejr caring, compassion, love of the animals and kindness in a difficult situation. Thank you care center for being there when our little mayhem machine needed you.
I brought my kitty Salem to this hospital a few nights ago when he began exhibiting worrisome symptoms. He unfortunately did pass away, but I have complete trust that the staff did absolutely everything they could to save him. Dr. Sarah Komnenovich in particular did the most to make the grieving process easier for me, and it was clear that she truly cared about him and my situation. Even after his passing, I can say with complete confidence that this was the best place I could have brought him, and left me with no doubts about what could have gone differently under such grim circumstances. Thank you so much to everyone involved for giving me the answers I needed. You truly made a difference in the way I felt about everything the following days.
I had to visit Care Center with my cat, Batman, on a Saturday evening. The staff was terrific. It was a holiday weekend, so it was pretty busy, with a steady stream in pets coming in throughout the night. We initially waited a little over an hour, which made sense, as there seemed to be several other animals with more critical concerns coming through the lobby. When I asked if we could wait in an exam room, so I could let my cat out to have litter box access, the staff very kindly obliged. All of the information I got was very thorough and explained really well, which helped me feel better. My cat also had a urine culture taken, and the office was very prompt with calling me with the results. I was so impressed with the staff. I could tell how much they care for animals. Kudos to everyone working during the evening on 2/17/24. Thank you for being so kind and helpful! I don’t hope to have to visit the emergency vet anytime soon, but it’s so nice to know this resource is available in the Cincinnati area.
This place saved my cat, Nebbi’s, life as cost effectively as possible. Med Vet told me a $15,000 surgery was the only option and urged me to put him down, so I came to Care Center for a second opinion. They were able to treat him medicinally and he’s thriving now. It was still expensive, don’t get me wrong, but that is to be expected of emergency, life saving veterinary care. His progression from death’s doorstep to the happy, healthy boy he is today is nothing short of a miracle (see pictures). The professionalism and compassion of the doctors and staff are unmatched. They let me visit with him daily and treated him like he was their own. Several of the vet techs really bonded with him. I will never go anywhere else for a life threatening vet emergency as long as I live in the Cincinnati area.
This was my first experience at an emergency vet and I couldn’t have felt more sure that my cat Pumpkin was in excellent hands. It was terrifying coming home to see my cat exhibiting symptoms of a stroke. I immediately looked up open ER’s and found my way here. The staff were communicative every step of the way. I was able to leave while she was waiting to be seen by the vet which felt like such a luxury considering in human hospitals you have to sit in the waiting rooms for hours on end. I ended up going to a friends house to offer some support while I waited. Any time I called for an update I got an honest answer about wait times (there were lots of dogs ingesting things they shouldn’t have this particular evening). I also was even able to text a number and got a real response from the vet. All of this really helped me be able to get some rest and put my worries at ease. When Dr. Bek called me with Pumpkin’s updates, she was extremely thorough and left no stone unturned. She also expressed that Miss Pumpkin was a joy to have in the office. All of this meant so much to me. When it came time to pick her up, the waiting room was empty and Dr. Bek brought Pumpkin out in her arms, swaddled in a towel like a baby before we put her back in her carrying case. She truly treated her as if she was one of her own pets. Her compassion paired with the ability to be so informative and detail oriented during a graveyard shift turned a very scary situation into one I was sure would be okay. I can’t express how grateful I am for the help of this team
