Messaged the team via an email. Had a reply back the next day with information about the puppy we were interested in. Went to the store and was greeted by the wonderful and knowledgeable staff. After getting to meet the puppy and spend some time with him we took him home. The entire process was very well put together.

Updated on august 18th 3:14am vhagar has passed away due to Petland disgusting neglect!!! DO NOT COME HERE. This place and these people are absolutely works of the devil and pure greed. On Sunday, my husband and I went to Petland to look at puppies. We had discussed prior to our visit that we weren’t getting a dog, but we met a little miniature Australian shepherd. This pup looked absolutely miserable. He looked severely depressed and slightly lethargic. My husband questioned me several times asking if the dog was sick. I told him no, and assume that the dog was OK because he had just been thrown on the airplane and taken from his mother. He was only eight weeks old. We definitely felt financially pressured from the agency to buy the dog. Upon leaving Petland they ask you to sign a document asking the vet if you have any questions about the dog. On my paper I wrote that I had questions about him being lethargic and kennel cough. They told me in order to take the dog home that I need to remove that from the document. I assume this was protocol and thought that it was not out of order. This is highly illegal. Upon taking the puppy home he did seems likely sick, but he pepped up. He was extremely happy to be loved by an entire family and have a beautiful giant home. A few days after him coming home I woke up to him vomiting. His vomit smelled like death. Myself, being an animal lover, my entire life I knew that this dog was in critical condition. We rushed him to a urgent care veterinary clinic. The doctor was also extremely concerned about the welfare of our baby. We only had $400 in her bank account and used every dollar to save this puppy. because of a third-party document we signed we paid for a company that allotted the same amount of money we paid for the dog to use on medical care. Are these people that do the third-party are mediators and are not a part of Petland. They have hired them because they have so many issues with dogs. This third-party company was extremely helpful but what they do all day is try to mediate a solution. The amount of dogs that have Home sick or have quickly died coming from Petland is astronomical. We took the dog back to the vet quickly. He was tested for multiple things and quickly tested positive for parvovirus. He also had numerous worms in his gut. Petland promised us that he had been tested for a parvovirus upon entering their facility, and upon leaving. This is a lie. Our pop is currently in critical condition. He hasn’t ate or drink and days. His eyes are rolling in the back of his head like he’s dying. He’s lethargic he won’t walk. And he is on 10+ medications. These people are absolute nightmares. They have a very horrendous reputation in the area and are known as selling dogs who are very sick. They buy these dogs from Amish breeders who do not take care of them properly. They stated that the dog was fully vaccinated when we took him home. However, multiple veterinarians have told us that these vaccinations do not count because they were not given by a veterinarian. These vaccinations that they supposedly gave were given by the breeders, and can be easily bought online. They expect an abnormal amount of money for these dogs and they’re sick. This is an unfair system in the state of South Carolina, where dogs are considered property. Dogs are not property. They are creatures with souls. This dog does not deserve this kind of treatment, and he is the sweetest, kindest little boy. Please pray for this pup and please help families like us shut down an Petland. I have no trust in the so-called facility or the people that work in it. They are not animal lovers. They are animal abusers. They’re only interest is making a dollar. Where is the ethics and love for these poor creatures who cannot speak up for themselves? It is our jobs as human beings to defend these animals. They don’t know who they are messing with a family of animal lovers who will fight til the end. Don’t ever purchase a puppy from Petland because it is not a puppy to them. It is just a purchase.
