I cannot recommend Healthy Pets of Hayden Run enough. We rescued our cat as a stray less than a year ago and recently found out he needed all his teeth extracted. Dr. Mazik performed his surgery and was amazing. The next day, I was concerned with his bleeding and his stitches coming out so I called and they said I could bring him in to get looked at. Dr. Rich examined our cat this time and was fantastic. These veterinarians and their staff truly care about their clients (both people and the pets). It’s heartbreaking having to take my cat to the vet since he’s in so much pain but im never worried because I trust them so much to take care of him. They constantly call and check in and make sure everything is well. I’ve been to Hayden Run a few times prior to having this big procedure and even those times were excellent. Like I said, they go above and beyond. I can’t recommend them enough!
Dr. Rich was amazing and this is the highest level of care that I have received from any vet! He and Sarah were very welcoming and answered all.of my questions while also providing great options. I wish that I had come to Healthy Pets of Hayden Run sooner as this is the treatment and attention that all of our pets deserve in order for them to live happier and healthy lives. Don't wait - go to Healthy Pets of Hayden Run where your pet will be in the best of care and good hands!
By far the BEST vet clinic I've ever taken dogs too. We have 2 and each time Dr Soroosh and Dr Algarin and their staff truly care about animals, provide excellent communication, and provide the best care!! From the moment we walk in, we are greeted with smiles and assistance, to the time we leave with proper care provided, we are always grateful! Your follow up exceed all too! Thank you from Jamie, Jeff, Liam, and Bruno!
I contemplated writing this review since we’ve been with healthy pets & Dr. Soroosh for a couple years now, and they’ve been good to us overall. The front desk staff are the kindest humans and the techs are amazing as well. In the beginning of May our sweet 4 year old dog started limping. We had her checked out and ended up going back a week later because it progressed to her hind legs. Dr. Soroosh ran some labs and got x-rays. The labs were relatively normal besides some low platelets. Low enough that myself being an ICU nurse, was concerned. I had brought it up a few times and was told that it wasn’t concerning and what was happening was neuro related and we most likely needed an MRI. He told us to keep her calm, ideally in a crate for 4-6 weeks while she was started on steroids and gabapentin. We also paid extra to have her x-rays sent out for a radiologist to read them. After a week, we still had not received a call with the results. I had to call in order to find out what the results were. We got the referral for neurology, and in the time we waited for our appointment we went back a few more times due to new symptoms (blood in stool, lethargy, significant weight loss, and overall her not being the same). He checked her out, ran a few more tests (Lyme disease, cortisol levels) and everytime we were told to just wait for our neuro consult since everything was “normal”. I knew in my gut something was not right. This was not the dog I knew. We had to go to the emergency vet one night and we were told our vet would follow up with us the next day for more testing. We never received a call. As our dogs status continued to decline we decided to go to MedVet for answers. Our dog spent the weekend at MedVet where they ran all of the tests that should have been done in the first place. They did an abdominal ultrasound and diagnosed her with metastatic carcinoma. It was untreatable. We had to put her down yesterday, and we still have yet to hear from healthy pets at all regarding anything. We are saddened to know that her last few weeks were spent locked in a kennel based on orders from our vet to keep her calm to not injure herself further. She was only a baby, and this should have been caught sooner when I initially questioned her platelets at our first appointment. Between all of the vet visits and emergency vet, we spent over $8,000 to find out something that could’ve been found with an abdominal ultrasound and closer attention in the beginning. I don’t think it would have saved her, but it could’ve given us more time, time that we can never get back. We are heartbroken over the loss of our dog, and hope this doesn’t ever happen to anyone else. If you choose to go to this vet office, which do have really amazing people there despite everything, make sure you question everything & push harder for answers before it’s too late. *editing because shortly after writing this review, we did receive a phone call from Dr. Soroosh expressing his condolences.
Love everyone at the front desk! Especially Lana and Barbie! Those two go out of their way to welcome your fur baby and make a special point to remember as much about you and your pet as they can!
Everyone is really helpful and genuinely seems to care. Doctor Rich is amazing! He really worked to cure my Bengal cat Simba of a problem. They spay my Maincoon Diva and after 14 days you can't even see the incision. I have lived with cats most of my 50 years alive and they are good people period.
