Description The Maslena Rescue Foundation has been a Sanctuary and forever home. Since 1999 we are dedicated to take care of all the animals on our ranch and This foundation is different than others because we make it a Priority that Every animal is not Confined, caged or Corralled. We also do not adopt out because we know these animals need a forever home and know that they will always have a place at the Maslena Rescue Foundation. This place takes discarded animals that have nowhere to go, the owner and his wife work hard to take care of them. They are wonderful people with a big heart. Please support this place in our community. Don't let evil neighbors over there pick on them and lie.

We had a great morning at the animal sanctuary with the grandchildren. The couple are very passionate and all the animals were noticeably calm and happy. It must be so much work to look after them all. We loved meeting all the animals and loved listening to all their stories.

Hey bernalillo if you're not gonna renew permits because of neighbors that knew there was a sanctuary here since the 90s. How about u take care of the animals then. the state fails constantly at careing for animals then blocks the people doing what Bern co fails at doing.

This place is an absolute gem. I was first introduced to this ranch in 2005 through a work exchange. From day one I knew this place was different than other ranches I’ve worked in the past. The owner operator Jeff Morewood is really a man above the rest. He spends his days steadfastly and wholeheartedly working with the animals and the land to provide the best care and safest environment while always putting the animals first. Morewood has shown me a new approach to cultivating bonds with animals I’ve never seen before. His gumption, tenacity and patients really shows in the well nature and calm behavior of the heard. This is a great place to bring the family for a day trip and get hands on with many varieties of animals. The experience at Masleña Rescue is always a fun time and very educational. FIVE STARS across the board!!
