Summer 2021– Went to adopt a cat off of the website, paid and left. He was going to get neutered and I would pick him up in a few days.. I was called 15 minutes after I left when they told me there was a miscommunication and he was put to sleep so I needed to go back to get a refund.. talk about traumatic. Today— Whoever is in charge can’t wait to put down a dog! It’s disturbing! I feel so bad for the staff to have to go through that everyday. Absolutely heartbreaking! And to push out all the rescues trying to help because you think killing every dog that comes in will fix our over population problem .. come on. You are in the wrong job. SICKO

Rescued a dog from the middle of the road over a month ago. We gave them a call to ask next steps in finding owners. The staff, without hesitation, ACCUSED us of stealing this dog. I was connected to persons from actual no kill shelters/rescues and they told me how WAS kills animals for NO REASON. They give “3 days to find owners” and the second that time is up they are ready to euthanize. It’s sickening how this continues to happen and needs to be stopped.

A few months ago my husband and I rehomed a dog who was microchipped to an individual. We recently received a few calls from the shelter saying they had her and we needed to come pick her up. We decided to go get her from the shelter, but when we called they said we would need to adopt her since we rehomed her. Looks like they are running a scam and wanting money any which way they can get it. They will be adopting her out to someone else.

Apparently they are trying to euthanize a dog on 4/28 that was ONLY BROUGHT IN ON 4/19. Due to TIMID and fearful behavior?! This puppy has only been in their possession for a week and a day. Of course it is going to be fearful and timid. It was brought in as a stray. It looks like, from the other reviews, that they have room as well. I’ll be making sure to make A LOT of phone calls to raise awareness and bring attention to the fact that this place needs to be seriously investigated. Might as well leave a stray alone instead of bringing it to this heartless death trap - a place that doesn’t answer phone calls to people who do want to adopt. Absolutely disgusting. I’ve never encountered a shelter that kills animals after just a week. The worst of shelters wait months. Sick.

They put down an innocent dog without putting him on the euth list that gives rescues a heads up to pull. This dog wasn’t the only one this past week, there were many and were only giving the rescue volunteers 15 minutes to pull and find a placement which is impossible. Some had placements and were killed anyways. This goes against policy of their partnership with beauty and beast inc. They are the reason all these animals don’t get euthanized. This shelter is horrible and puts animals down for the dumbest reasons. They lie to the public and get away with their actions. Time to take a stand!

They have a “restricted area” that is not open to the public with a bunch of dogs back there. My husband was NOT allowed to go back there to look for our 2 lost dogs. The employee said, “We keep the special dogs away from the public.” Meaning the rare dogs or expensive dogs 😡 WHEN YOU GO LOOK FOR YOUR DOG HERE, YOU NEED TO DEMAND TO LOOK AT THE ANIMALS IN TELHE RESTRICTED AREA TOO! My husband had to pry that info out of her!
