I would give them a 0 if I could. I brought my bird here due to her toe being bit by a cage mate and she just needed the nail to get cleaned up and get her some pain medication. She was taken to the back where I couldn’t see her and they “trimmed just her nail” according to the medical notes and she in-fact got half of her toe taken with it and it seems to have been cauterized.And for this they gave her absolutely no pain medication prior to it only some for me to give at home. When I got her back, she was panting (probably from the pain) and in shock and looked worse then when I took her in so I gave her the meds right then to help easy the pain from all the trama this practice has given her. Although now she’s doing good she is now traumatized to go into her medical carrier for regular vet check ups with her normal vet . It breaks my heart I could not have been there to stop it from happening before my poor girl was abused. Here’s a picture of her healed toe and from when she first got it removed where you can clearly see it was not just the nail that was taken off.

I brought one of my cats here for a second opinion after concerns for his health with not properly addressed by his previous vet. From the first appointment, Dr. Bell listened and addressed these concerns which led to a diet change and surgery. Dr. Bell and staff were great in the whole process and my cat recovered wonderfully. He has a chronic condition and it will have to be monitored and I feel confident in the care he receives at Beach Pet Hospital. I've switched both of my cats to Beach Pet Hospital/Dr. Bell as their veterinarian. The staff is always great, helpful, and caring as well. Highly recommend!

Beach Pet is the BEST vet office in the area in my opinion. I’ve been to many different local offices and even traveled to Chesapeake once in search of the best vet for my dog. I have now seen 3 different doctors since being with beach pet and I am more than pleased with all of them! I have had only fantastic experiences from the front desk, vet techs, and the doctors. They all are so knowledgeable and really take time to answer all of my questions. They also are SO good with my dog. She gets real nervous at the vet as I’m sure many do, and they have the best vibe which makes her way more relaxed. I recommend them all the time! I also should mention they are very timely— this is a very important factor to me! I have not had to wait long at all to be seen with an appointment.

The staff & Veterinarian we saw were amazing. We greatly appreciated them fitting us in on a Sunday. Thankfully our boy is on the mend thanks to their care! Our Maverick loved the Dr. & staff! We highly recommend!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to this special Veterinary hospital. Our senior dog had an accident and the compassionate staff at this hospital supported me on an extremely difficult evening. The care they showed our dog was exceptional. The empathy and support they gave me was above and beyond. Dr. Johnson and her caring staff were outstanding.

Reeeeally good experience. I was a bit nervous taking my dog here for the first time, as my last vet clinic in NH was.. an experience to say the least. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming, the waiting room was clean and very visually appealing (lovee the waterfall), and we were seen quickly, and they asked lots of good questions, and were very nice to our pug. The checkout lady was a favorite, she was soooo bubbly and funny, and we had a great conversation!! Will recommend to my friends and family :)
