I visited this shelter to adopt a puppy. Once I adopted her, they scheduled her spay for two days later and I was able to pick her up and bring her home the same day she was spayed. Everyone I interacted with at the shelter was wonderful: kind and informative…I could not have asked for a better experience or a more perfect puppy! Thank you so much.

The guy at the front desk was very knowledgeable. The entire staff was friendly and easy going. I adopted my Lady very quickly she had to have a spay which was done immediately. I came in on a Sunday and was able to pick her up on Tuesday. The lady that helped with the meet and greet with my other dog was amazing. She had many pets of her own and was also very knowledgeable on how to handle a shelter dog. I cam from south San Diego and so glad I did.

First trip to adopt directly from Shelter. So concerned abt going however, I wanted to ck out a dog. I'm so very glad I went & yes, I got an amazing dog. So impressed with the facility, the medical staff & front office help. The volunteers were also so kind & helpful. If you're concerned abt going, it's totally worth it. I now have overcome my fear & looking forward to helping.

Great place to adopt or foster a dog. Wonderful staff & clean, well cared for animals. There's not anyone who is with the animals, 6pm-6am, is my understanding, and they're in a cage 23 hours a day. So go and adopt these adorable animals in beautiful Carlsbad, you won't regret it.

Great facility! We adopted our new dog here and the process was quick and simple. They’re currently by appointment only for adoptions, so be sure to go online and fill out the application and include the animal you’re interested in. You can find their available animals online and see some general info about them (if they’re spayed/neutered, age, etc) I submitted my request and received a call the following business day to set up a visit. We ultimately decided on Banjo and couldn’t be happier with our decision. He is so cuddly and sweet! The staff was also friendly and very informative, providing his past medical records and current vaccine certificate. Highly recommend this place if you’re in search of a new addition to the family. Adopt don’t shop!
