We had to say goodbye to our son with hair-pants just a few days ago. He was 105 / 15, and sweet to the end. They were so empathetic and kind!
The last thing anyone expects to be doing at 5 a.m. is to ease the passing of a beloved pet, yet? Here I found myself with a dear old friend and his cat. The staff were so kind and caring, trying their best to put my friend at ease as well as his much loved cat. They were tactful and polite about the business end of things and even smoothed out the process by handling the paperwork and pickup for cremation, greatly simplifying things. They gave us a cozy little room and time to say our goodbyes, and my friend held his cat as she went on to better things. I was impressed by how well such a sad time was handled with such care.
I cannot say enough good things about this place and their staff. Sometime around 4am we were greeted by the helpful Shay at the front desk. Very kind and understanding. Offered that we could wait inside or in our vehicle, whichever we preferred. Dr. Dolen listened to everything I had to say and was very knowledgeable and helped me understand what was happening with my dog. By far that early morning the star of the show was an assistant named Jay. He helped me keep it together and treated my boy Oliver like he was a precious treasure, which he is. He was so kind and gentle with Oliver and made a completely scary situation for us much better. I would definitely recommend this emergency clinic to anyone. Thank you all for helping us that morning and know we are truly thankful for all you do.”
What can I say. We were referred by youngs animal hospital in johnson city so right when we got there ar umm 11:10 am they were expecting us. They even looked at his xray and said wow he is all the way backed up. Was told he should be ready to go hom between 10 and 11pm. Total hrs 12. Got charged for 23.5 hrs of work on my animal even though they kept pushing his procedure back time after time. Was supposed to pick him up between 10 and 11 pm. When I called they said they had to push his back because others were more important. They said in another hr we will get to him. Called same day at 1130 and again told the same thing had to push it back we had an emergency. Called at 530am next morning and again told the same thing. Needless to say they finally got to him. Called me like an hour and half after all was said and done and told me to pick him up. The only reason he was there 23.5 hrs is because they kept pushing him back. You can not make people pay for your calls lack of staff. I am now doubting the whole bill and what they did to him. Will be bringing tomorrow to his vet to confirm or deny what they did. Also contacted bbb. These people are stealing people's money. Please for anyone reading this, just read the reviews. I messed up and read them after the fact. If I knew then what I know now I would of brought my animal elsewhere or just took the chance and waited to Monday. Will be disputing charges. Grrrrr With that I did thank them for helping my baby.
Edit to add: I’ve reached out twice via email two weeks ago and have yet to receive a response. I’m not sure how myself and my pets are not in your system given you transferred their records to their primary vet. I wasn’t impressed both times I’ve been here with 2 different cats. The wait was insane, which I can understand because it’s an emergency vet and all the regular vets were closed. My first cat had a bad UTI he never could clear up, this vet gave him all sorts of pills and then my regular vet switched everything he was taking. So not sure why I even came here really. Yesterday my partner brought in our 2 month old kitten we had taken in a week prior. He was super weak and couldn’t stand on his own. After a $500 bill and 6 hours, they sent them home with some antibiotics and still had no idea what was wrong with him. He passed away this morning. All of that waiting and money for what, a “good luck” and some antibiotics that didn’t even work?? I would try to go to every other vet before this one, we haven’t been impressed with the care our pets received.
So thankful for Airport Animal Clinic. I live in Maryville but was visiting my father in Greeneville for the weekend. My 4 lb Yorkie was playing and jumped off the bed and injured her leg on Friday night. I called several local vets first thing Saturday morning but no one could see her. She wouldn’t put weight on her back leg and I couldn’t stand the thought of her suffering until I could see my regular vet next week. Airport Animal Clinic was recommended by one of the local vets. They were very patient and so good to my sweet Annie and very thorough. Through every step they explained prices and what they would do. Sad to say that she did break her leg but I feel they took excellent care of her. It was costly and we were there for several hours but worth it to have the piece of mind knowing she is on the road to recovery. All the staff was so very caring and compassionate.. Thank you!!
