I have very mixed feelings about this location. I appreciate the 24/7 option for when emergencies arise, & the staff have always been wonderful. But it seems some things skip through the cracks more often than I'm comfortable with. When my pet broke their leg a doctor had sent them home claiming it was a flare up of her arthritis. I had to bring my pet back only to find no imaging had been done the first time I visited, and as such had been attempting to walk on a broken leg for a week. I don't always get notifications/texts about the scheduled appointments they set, but I will get the call reminders from them. Recently we had a recheck & they scheduled me to come back two days later to get the cast replaced; I don't entirely understand why they couldn't replace it the first day I was there instead of putting my pet through the stress once again of going. And despite them sedating my pet to change the cast they didn't do further imaging to check how healing is going? I commend them in taking care of so many pets but it does seem this location is just so dang busy they cannot keep up with the amount of pets in their care. I'm not sure if it's staffing or a management issue, but it has begun to make me worry greatly about my pet's care. Once again though the front end staff and nurses have always been wonderful, patient, and kind. But it feels like they're being worn thin and it's affecting customers.
We have both our cats covered with Hannah’s plan. Regularly scheduled care is always great, but they really shined recently when one of our cats became severely ill. We took her to the Tigard location, she had to stay there an entire week, we received a morning text message and an evening call each day, keeping us posted on her progress. She was her old self when we picked her up today. No out-of-pocket charges for this whole time, it’s all covered in their plan. Healthy cats and peace of mind!
While it's true the wait times on the phone and at the offices can be long, and there is a clause in the contract that seems scary if you don't understand what it is and how it works, I have nothing but good things to say about Hannah. Thankfully I've only needed vet services twice so far, but both times the incurred costs would have been difficult if not impossible for me to pay up front, and my cats would have suffered. When my senior cat passed away, they handled her remains for me and sent me a lovely condolences card with ink prints of her paws and nose. When I was unable to safely get back to the Tigard location to pick up a newly adopted cat after being spayed, due to atrocious weather and poor road conditions, they boarded her for three days, and then ferried her right to my apartment building because I literally couldn't get out of the sheet of ice parking lot. All for zero extra charges. The offices are very clean and the staff has always been gentle and patient with my cats, even when they seem swamped during busy days. They were open and responsive even during dangerously bad weather, utilizing email and other means of contact between offices when the phones and computer system at Tigard were down, so I was still able to get updated information. Sometimes I have had to make repeat phone calls to get the answers I need, but I've never felt ignored or dismissed, and it seems clear to me that even though you can't always get an appointment immediately, even though you sometimes have to wait when you do arrive for your appointment, they are invested in the safety and comfort of the animals in their care. The negative reviews that seem based mostly on wait times are upsetting to me, because I think it's important to bear in mind that doctors--even animal doctors--have a duty to prioritize the cases that need the most help and attention, and remember that that isn't always going to be you. And when it IS you, you're going to appreciate that some things in life aren't first-come-first-served.
I recently wrote a review with mixed feelings. I honestly read and heard a lot of bad things about Hannah Pet Society. I didn’t understand the concept of them having part ownership of our pup. But I now understand more after our wonderful care coordinator Sarah reassured me that everything will be okay and Hannah can never repossess or take our baby. I was very upset I because I thought that was the case from what I heard. Unfortunately Hannah is a very misunderstood place from what I understand. And everyone is going to have their own feelings and opinions. I have since changed my opinion and feel much better about having my pup with Hannah. Yes, they’re not always the greatest with answering phones and such but it happens. I just wish they had more locations since this location or the Portland location are over an hour away from me and that concerns me a bit. Hopefully they consider to open a few more locations soon. I do apologize for leaving such a bad review. Always go through your care coordinator first before making a decision or whatever else!
It's been a long time since I've had a dog in my life, and now I do. She is the best, and I want the best for her. That's why I chose Hannah Pet Hospital.i heard about Hannah from a friend, who absolutely raved about the care her two dogs receive at every visit. I absolutely agree! For a small monthly fee, everything is taken care of at Hannah. They set appointments, send reminders, set follow~up appointments, answer all questions, and give the best care. And there is absolutely no charge...it's all included in the monthly fee. Plus, if any emergency treatment is needed, that's included as well. Not a penny out of my pocket for shots, health checkups, or emergencies. I'm so very thankful for Hannah Pet Hospital! You will be too.
Over nine and a half years ago I adopted Bear from Hannah and his journey through obedience training classes as well as behavioral therapy from Dr. Tripp helped make him become the best dog I have ever known. The medical team is outstanding and Bear is always a happy camper in their care.He is adored by family, friends and neighbors. I am ever so grateful to have Bear in my life!
