Saw this 12 y/o beagle dachshund mix the day she was dropped off at PAWS. She was scared and weak, heart worm positive, and a boney skeleton. Brought her home, and realized she was totally house broken! She went back 3 days later for hrt wm tx's and spay, and returns in 30 days for another shot. The video is 2 weeks after living with us! She runs the house now! Zoomies like a puppy, is not afraid of our 5 dobermans, and now has a bed in every room. She really bonded with my 120 lb dobie, & follows him everywhere. She loves to go for walks, and loves attention. We of course are foster fails, bc we are keeping Dolly! She is wonderful. So many other amazing dogs there...I wish I could save them all! THANK YOU PAWS!
Dr. Sanders and all of the staff here are wonderful people. They are very professional and understanding and you can tell they care about what they do. Everyone went above and beyond to help us out with our family pet and not only fixed the problem but exceeded our expectations and saved our pet. We are very grateful for the exceptional service provided by PAWS. Thank you!
The staff here is so empathetic & knowledgeable. I've learned that alot of people can't afford to feed their pets. However, they have a program that helps feed your animals if you are in a situation to where you can't afford them right now. So . please don't just drop your pets off. Ask questions & Great job PAWS!!
They really take care of the aminals and do their best to find them good homes! We got a smart beautiful pup to share our home with..she was spoiled rotten when we got her:) Thank you Paws for giving these Little Souls a chance at their forever home!!
I'm really impressed with the way the staff cares for the animals. I understand for safety reasons, bringing your own pet to meet a new one is not allowed but, it would save some paperwork if already owned pets could have a play date with potential adoptees. Also, dog behaviors could be better noted in adoptees files so future pet parents can make more informed decisions from the beginning instead of having to surrender newly adopted pets because they don't get along with established family pets. Free training to new pet parents would be very useful and cut down on surrenders. Sliding scale training classes could be implemented to promote better behavior in rehomed, purchased or newly adopted pets (and pet parents).
I found a little stray dog a few weeks ago. Couldn’t find the owner, so I took him to my vet where they did a heartworm test. Of course he was positive. I was so sad because I knew I couldn’t afford the fast kill treatment and I was so afraid of how he would respond to the treatments. (I have always been told they were highly toxic). I emailed PAWS to see if they could help in any way. They said they could neuter him but they weren’t sure at the time what else they could do. When I walked in that day to drop him off for his neuter I met Dr. Sanders. She had amazing bedside manner and really put my mind at ease about fast kill treatments. I was moved to tears when they told me I wouldn’t have to pay a dime. These treatments mean so much for my little foster dog. He now has a real chance at a meaningful happy life. He is doing very well and we are so thankful to Dr. Sanders, Dr. Goodson, their team of Vet Techs, and all the staff at PAWS Anderson.
