I just had to put down one of my babies, my first baby. I don’t remember the names of the 2 vets that were helping me through the process but they were amazing. I’ll miss my boy forever but I’m glad he was handled with such care and love.
I am from Virginia and happen to be staying with my BF that lives in Crossville, my dog has some serious eye issues going on that had gotten worse since my visit with her Vet at home. So I called Best Friend Veterinary and they had a cancellation which was a blessing for me. They got us right in and did a through exam of her eyes. They did a fantastic job and I am so grateful. The price wasn’t bad considering what all they did. Great job guys! Thank you!! 💕
We brought our dog here on May 24th because another dog bit her paw while we were camping. They did x-rays, said there was no break, then sent us home with pain meds and antibiotics saying we were good to go. Three weeks later, she was still hoping around, not being able to put any weight on it. We took her to our normal vet at home and they requested the x-ray from Best Friends prior to doing their own. The x-ray was slightly blurry and showed what they thought looked like a break. They showed us the x-ray and we could also see the break but agreed that a clearer x-ray was needed, which confirmed the break. We have been going to our vet every week for bandage re-wraps on her split ever since. She has had two more x-rays during that time, both showing the break as it heals. We tried to get our money back because we spent $450 to waste our time and put our dog through 3.5 weeks of living with a broken foot. First, they said they would call our vet and talk to them, then call us back. The next day, we called our vet and Best Friends never called them. So we called Best Friends again and asked why they never called. They told us they were going to look over their file as well, but that didn’t happen. When Best Friends called with answers, we were still stuck with the “no break” story. They said the x-ray taken was blurry and not a good angle, but chose to not retake it. At this point, it’s not even about getting the money back. Even after talking to our vet who saw a break in not just the three x-rays they took, but also in the x-ray Best Friends took. Best Friends won’t even admit they made a mistake and misdiagnosed our dog. Glad we won’t ever have to go back.
Moved to Tennessee on March 15th and March 22 got a puppy so it was my first time here and let me tell you...it will definitely not be my last! They were recommended to me by Dogwood, who isn't taking new clients. Very pleasant experience from my 1st call to walking out the door! Very pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and cheerful staff! And very reasonably priced! Worth my (almost) 45 minute drive!
The bad: Saturday walk in is a blessing and a curse. It doesn’t matter how early you arrive, you have to win the phone lottery as to when you are seen. We arrived first, was seen fourth. I would fix this so there was a way to ensure first come, first served. The good: when no other vet would see us, they came through. Great staff, very caring and professional. They give you info and let you decide on a care plan based on you and your furry friend needs. Cannot recommend high enough
Very professional, caring people. I was driving through the parking lot on a Sunday and they were closed but there were bowls of food and water, and a little shelter for the homeless animals there. They don't have to do that, but they do and I really respect that one thing because it is proof positive of compassion. It shows what people do when no one is looking.
