I adopted my two cats Greyson & Ashton (formerly known as Micky & Melody) from Halfway Home when they were just kittens almost 9 years ago. It was the best decision I’ve made in my entire life, I couldn’t imagine my life without them. Halfway Home is a wonderful rescue organization; they truly go above and beyond to care for their rescues and find them good, suitable forever homes. Their application process ensures that the adopter is qualified and meets their standards of care, and they never turn down an animal in need. I will always support this organization and adopt any future pets from here. Thank you for all that you do!

I have adopted 4 wonderful cats from HHR. Their passion for animals is evident in everything they do (see Rescue Farm). This ALL-VOLUNTEER organization goes above and beyond to make sure animals are healthy and ready for adoption. Additionally, the adoption process at Halfway Home Animal Rescue was seamless and efficient. The staff guided me through the necessary paperwork and provided valuable advice on how to best integrate Finn into our home. Their support didn't end with the adoption; they offered post-adoption resources and follow-up assistance, ensuring a smooth transition. What truly impressed me was the level of compassion and love shown by the staff towards the animals. It was evident that they genuinely cared for each and every one of them, going above and beyond to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. I adopted from Halfway Home Rescue through their partner Mew Haven twice and it was a fantastic experience. They were very professional and thorough when making sure their cats go to loving homes and I can’t thank them enough for all that they do. They were very supportive and helpful during the process and both cats came with all the necessary paper work making their vet visit a breeze. We have adopted two dogs from HHR, a Malamute/Shepherd mix who was about nine months old at the time, and most recently a German Shepherd who was five to six years old when we got her two years ago. Both adoption experiences were great. The staff took the time to let us get to know the dogs and vice versa. We were encouraged to bring Bandit with us when we met Pepper so they could meet and interact to make sure they were compatible. We can't say enough about how much this organization and it's staff care about these animals and their placement into suitable caring homes.

Halfway Home Rescue is a wonderful rescue that goes above and beyond for all of the animals they care for. I have adopted three kitties from them since last April and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with each of their adoptions! All three of my cats were as healthy as can be upon adoption and have remained so—along with being loving, happy, and social. It is important to the rescue that all of their animals go to dedicated and caring families. There is so much love put into each of their rescue animals.
