Open five days a week, we practice low-stress handling techniques treating cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, pocket pets, birds, pet chickens & ducks, amphibians, reptiles, pigs, & goats of Palm Desert, CA, & the Coachella Valley. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, nutrition & weight management, allergy & dermatology, X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, dental, surgery including spay & neuter, pain management, in-house pharmacy, reptile habitat consultation, snake relocation, & more! Dr David has been taking care of my boxers for many years. He neutered my dog earlier this year and recently he removed a mass from my dogs wrist/paw, very complex and tight surgical spot! The recovery and wound care have been pretty eventful but with the help of El Paseo Animal Hospital our pup is on the road to recovery. So Glad to have this awesome hospital in palm desert. Gives me peace of mind knowing Rico has such a compassionate and skilled veterinary team.

We took our beautiful Aussie Doodle’s to meet Dr. Rachel yesterday. We were so impressed with how caring and loving Dr. Rachel and her assistant were. They checked out Bonnie and Clyde on a little padded mat. Dr. Rachel’s lovely assistant petted and spoke softly to them whilst they were being examined. They even got their Rabies shots while they were on the mat. It was the most caring vet’s office we have ever been to. The ladies at the front desk were lovely too ! We are so happy we have found El Paseo Animal Hospital ❤️❤️

We feel so lucky to have found El Paseo Animal Hospital! Dr. Rachael and David Jeffrey and the rest of the veterinary team are phenomenal. We have had a few health issues with our dog over the past year and they are able to offer timely scheduling so that we can have her seen as soon as possible. The staff is always down on the floor of the exam room with our dog to make her feel comfortable. They are thorough in the care and treatment options they provide. We’ve visited other local vets in the past and they don’t compare!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting El Paseo Animal Hospital with my rather unique pets—a lamb, a large tortoise, and a cockatiel. From the moment I scheduled the appointment to the final check-out, the entire process was seamless and outstanding. The scheduling was straightforward and accommodating, even with the unusual nature of my pets. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring that we had all the necessary information and preparations beforehand. Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth and well-organized. The receptionists were welcoming and demonstrated genuine interest in our furry and feathered and scaled family members. Despite the variety of animals they see daily, they treated our sheep and tortoise with the utmost respect and care. The veterinary team was incredibly knowledgeable and adept at handling both the sheep, cockatiel, and tortoise. They took the time to thoroughly examine each animal, addressing all our concerns with patience and expertise. It was evident that they had extensive experience with a wide range of animals, which was incredibly reassuring and why we chose to bring them here. Overall, the care provided by El Paseo Animal Hospital was exceptional. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to animal care are truly commendable. Their office Is designed to be lower stress for the pets. I highly recommend their services to anyone, regardless of how conventional or unconventional their pets might be.

Dr. Rachael and her lovely staff have cared for our dog Pepper, brilliantly. They are patient, kind, attentive and really take the time to treat the patient and give answers/alternatives. We are so happy to have found El Paseo Animal Hospital. I kind of worry about everyone going to her by leaving a review and that they get so busy that we can't get an appointment, but excellent work needs to be shouted from the rooftops and since it's too hot to do that..here we are. Your fur/scale/feather baby is in excellent hands with this wonderful clinic.

I bring my 23 year old dove Gracie for a beak trims as well as exams. Dr. David Jeffrey is so gentle with her as she does not appreciate being held. Everyone from the front desk to the treatment staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
