I came here about 15 years ago, I was in the 1st grade and I adopted this adorable white and black cat, her name is Alice! Little did I know Alice would be my best friend. Me and Alice have been attached ever since 2010. This shelter gave me the love of my life. Iām in college now, Iām 21! She has gotten me through everything and still continues to.
We volunteered to take a dog out for a walk on a Saturday morning. And we ended up walking our new furry member to our home. We adopted her on the spot! Great people at AZ Humane Society! She was well taken care of! Everyone was very helpful and the process was quick and easy! Thank you!!
Was a very enjoyable experience! Got to spend time with the pets I was interested in which made the adoption process reassuring. I have happily adopted my sweet kitten šāā¬ and knew he was the one when he came to me and sat in my lap. Highly recommend humane society adoptions because the animals are vaccinated, chipped, and neutered/ spayed which helps tremendously. The history on the animals is also helpful.
It was a very good experience. I had to put my 17 year old best friend down and they were so gentle with him, it meant a lot to me. It was a beautiful facility and very clean. I had him cremated and they had him back to me in less than a week. The presentation of his ashes in a rosewood box is beautiful.
I brought my pup into the Humane Society after she got diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Ivy got diagnosed at Blue Pearl Emergency. I didn't have a lot of money to get started on treatment. So my friends helped me start a gofundme. We worked hard having benefit pool parties and raising awareness with lymphoma. When we got to the Humane Society, I knew Ivy was not herself. The vet could see the worry in my eyes. She was very honest with me. Unfortunately, the lymphoma took its toll after 3 weeks spreading to her liver. The vet told me she was declining fast. The vet and vet tech sat on the ground with us and allowed me to cry. I made the painful decision to ease Ivy's pain. They were very, very patient with me. I truly appreciate it! The end of life option was very helpful. I will truly be grateful for the Humane Society!
My family and I adopted a kitten 2 days ago. He was the runt so he was very small. We were told he was 11 weeks old (we were told today he was actually around 8 weeks.) He came to us very sick but had no signs until 36 hours after we got him. This morning we brought him back to get help. They rushed him back without letting us back there. They had to put him down this morning.
