Blood tests for Mina the cat today were done quickly and didn't bother Mina much. Dr Downs quickly contacted me with test results as we figure out the next steps for Mina. The same excellent standard of care is provided by Dr Downs and her staff of vet techs. I've been bringing my cats to her for over 20 years. Best decision ever.

My dog was sick and my old Vet couldn’t get her on the schedule for one month. Pender fit me in the next day. Great staff, took care of my dog. Professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Recommend.

Our family has been going to Pender Little River ever since we moved to the area. We are very happy to be part of this practice. Our pets receive the best care from Dr Downs and her staff.

Without a doubt, Dr. Downs is one of the best Veterinarians in the region and has cared for our two Whippets (sight hounds have some unique medical treatment concerns) for several years and provided nothing but excellent care. She is very thorough in her approach, and as a result provided an early cancer diagnosis and treatment plan for our eldest Whippet (surgery, medication and diet) and also identified the early onset of heart conditions in both our (senior citizen) Whippets. Dr. Downs has always worked in close coordination with veterinary specialists (surgeon, oncologist and cardiologist). I believe that Dr. Downs proactive approach has improved the quality of life and lifespan (14 and 13 years old) of both our Whippets. Through the years, the staff at Little River have been nothing short of kind, caring, friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Dr. Downs and the team at Little River are great! I had several bad experiences with my previous veterinarian that mostly boiled down to me not feeling listened to. That has never been the case here and this team is why we travel 40 minutes for our visits. Every part of the team takes time to intently listen to my concerns and I feel my voice is heard and valued in the care my dog receives. Any time I have questions they're quick to answer. My dog gets her regular care here and Dr. Downs did her spay as well. I've had a couple of times where my dog needed to be seen quickly and they were able to accommodate her within what I know is a very busy schedule. I also tend to be pretty anxious when it comes to my dog and her care and they have always been great at talking me through everything to calm my nerves. From the front of the house to the doctor and back I've been very pleased with the care we get at Little River and would highly recommend them!

Dr. Downs has been our family vet for many years and many pets. She has lovingly cared for them and euthanized as needed. She has always been intelligent, caring, and supportive. Each team member has been there to support our pets, too. Thank you. 🐾❤️ Our present pups, Maggie and Max.
