I have had many pets for over thirty years, lived the whole time in northern Virginia and used many different veterinarians. Hands down this is an amazing practice! Everyone from the front desk to the veterinarians is so caring and sensitive to both the animals and their guardians. Our dogs are treated so kindly and gently. So many special touches to help the animals relax. Also from a medical standpoint they are top notch. When our senior dog had a couple of infections they ran cultures to make sure it was really gone, plus provided doable, specific guidance so we could prevent the infections from happening again. We actually had this happen a year prior with a different vet and we had no guidance on how to prevent, no recheck to make sure it was gone etc so of course it happened again. My dog is doing great, no recurrence and he's so much happier. Fairfax veterinary care is wonderful! I'm confident my dogs are getting the best veterinary care available.

Amazing staff here that really know what they're doing and have such a huge compassion for helping animals. We took our puppy there and she absolutely loved it. The rooms are nice and cozy with toys, beds, blankets, water bowls, and plenty of treats. Our dog took her shots like a champ and didn't even wince because she was so into licking puppy food from a lick pad. Fear free for sure. Highly recommend!

This is a very expensive place to take one’s pet for medical treatment. I do believe they care for animals but the individuals in the background are always finding ways to get a little bit more money from you. For instance, the first visit I purchased a foaming anti itching cream in office for $40.00 when I got home I found that I could have paid $20 elsewhere. I complained but kept coming back knowing I will not purchase from office again. They got me again by paying a no show fee up front $50. Well, I was late.,I called said I’m late I’m only a few minutes away. They said no. ten minutes left in appt time, that’s not enough time. Took my $50, asked if I’d like to reschedule. I got emotional (sad not angry) said I’d have to call back. I think they could have examined my perfectly healthy dog in 10 mins so I wouldn’t lose my $50 and have me come back for shots. I’m not chronically late/miss appts. I messed up but the lack of compassion is not for me. Only good things to say about medical staff. Thank you for your time. We went to Town and country, they are open with pricing. Our well exam was $300+ You got the last $50 from us when you could have gotten $300 with a little understating.

The staff here are absolutely incredible!!! My dog is very anxious and everyone here is so incredibly kind, gentle, and patient with him. I can't believe how lucky I am to have found such an amazing veterinary practice with such caring staff.

I have never been to such an incredible veterinary office before. Every human is caring, kind, thoughtful, and gentle. They allow your fur baby to walk in by themselves. They have soft music, treats, toys, and comfortable dog beds and blankets! You can tell that they care about the fur baby and the human experience here. There is love in this place and if you have an anxious pet, there really is not better place.

**UPDATE** The office has reached out to apologize and explain why they have implemented the nurse exam. They have informed me that they are now notifying clients that they will be doing the nurse exam PRIOR to doing it. We will be giving Fairfax Vet another chance as they have been great with our pets. We have brought our pets here for a while and they have been great. Recently brought my dog for a monthly injection and they did an additional exam without asking/informing me ahead of time. She does not need an additional exam with every injection, we usually walk in get the injection and leave. Now they are requiring an additional exam and charging an additional fee. To be clear, I don’t mind the additional charge but I don’t appreciate that they did it without telling me ahead of time that it was now required and would be an additional charge. When I asked if the price of the injection went up, they said yes the price was increased, however when I was given the receipt I saw that the price for the injection was the same as always and I was charged the nurse exam fee.
