Dr King and staff are wonderful. I took my large Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix in for ear infections. I was greeted on the first visit and shown into a room. Dr. King was so kind and explained everything to me and made sure I understood. I was asked to bring Alex back twice to make sure that the infections were gone, at no extra cost. We have found our vet for the gentle giant.

I brought my puppy in ( a Golden Retriever my son bought for me after my husband passed away in December) she ended up being sick with Parvo, they got her some shots, showed me how to work giving her a bag of IV with vitamins. Gave additional medicine, and with all the and my pureeing extra dog food, keeping her active, and giving fluids via syringe, I am blessed to say she is her playful energetic self again. Thank you to their Team and knowledge, the Doctor and Brett for everything. I have found her VET❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💚💚

I first want to say that I am thankful that there is an organization that helps people and their pets when income is prohibitive. However, I had one of the worst vet experiences I have ever had in my entire life. I contacted Bella SPCA last week because I have a 7-year old GSD. He gets bad ear infections, and because of this, his ears are very sensitive from being scraped so much during treatment and has developed a lot of scar tissue. I let Bella SPCA know that he will struggle and may snap (he has never snapped at anyone since I have had him - this is just something that I was told when I adopted him). My dog currently has an ear infection and needs to get his ears cleaned out. This has had to be done under anesthesia in the past. I did tell the vet staff, as I always do, about his sensitive ears out of an abundance of caution. My dog is NOT a vicious dog. I had a 2:15 appointment. It took over an hour to get into an exam room and even longer for the doctor to come in. Dr. King finally came in, and did not greet, extend a hand, or in any way acknowledge my dog. He then asked if my dog was up to date on his Rabies, and I thought he had received a 3 year Rabies vaccination in 2021. But, I said, if he was due for another one that was fine with me, no problem. Dr. King refused to give him a rabies vaccination and said we would have to take him to a DIFFERENT vet to get the vaccination, and then I could bring him back to Bella SPCA for treatment, under certain conditions. Dr. King refused to examine our dog at all, and kept reiterating the rabies shot, even telling me that if my dog bit someone, they would have to immediately kill him and cut off his head to send into the lab to be tested for Rabies. This is absolutely absurd - our dog DOES NOT have rabies, and to even say that to a pet owner was just off the charts weird and inappropriate. He said - without an examination - that my dog's ears may be at the "end game" stage which sure did sound like he was suggesting that his ears may be bad enough to require euthanasia! What is Dr. King's obsession with killing my dog? Dr. King then insinuated that if I were to come back after taking my dog SOMEWHERE ELSE to get a rabies vaccination - that the only way he would treat him would be to muzzle him and perform an ear cleaning without anesthesia or sedation. This is just not going to work for me. I'm sorry, but my dog IS a special case and requires special handling - I made this CLEAR before I ever made an appointment and wasted my time at Bella SPCA. Dr. King then basically shamed me for not putting a muzzle on my dog. He said, "you can't even put a muzzle on YOUR OWN DOG?" - Look, I love my dog very very much. He is a super sweet, funny, smart loyal friend. HE IS A GOOD DOG. He is part of my family and I love him VERY much. He has had a rough go of it prior to being adopted by me and my family. I've always tried to not push his boundaries in order to gain his trust. I don't feel comfortable forcing a muzzle on a dog who clearly has an extreme aversion to it. Sorry! I really did not appreciate the way that I was treated, the things that were said to me, and the way my dog was NOT treated. If you are so afraid to even touch a large dog, then maybe you should really rethink being a veterinarian. I have NEVER EVER had any problem with another vet. This whole experience was a waste of time - I missed work to bring him to get help for his ears before it got worse. Dr. King did prescribe Buddy some antibiotics and ear drops, which I appreciate, but he really needs his ears cleaned out, which is why I contacted Bella SPCA in the first place, and unfortunately I was not able to get that procedure done for him. Needless to say, I will NEVER bring any pet of mine back here.

I would like to Thank all the staff at your hospital for the help and care of our little Rocksy. They were all so genuinely concerned and caring, despite the fact that we are hoping she will fully recover. I failed to get her third shot in a timely manner and she contracted a life threatening illness. They prescribed all the necessary meds, gave me clear instructions and demonstrated everything to me that was important . I would not be reluctant to suggest them to anyone that has a baby that they love. Thank You so much... hopefully your care will not be in vain and our baby will survive. We are definitely aware of the importance of getting the vaccinations in a timely manner from here on...🙏🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐱

Dr. King was amazing with our pommie that we brought in for an ear infection. He was very knowledgeable and went over our options and actually made an executive decision to do a better treatment to help her get better quicker. Reasonably priced for what we went in for too. We actually thought it was going to be $40-60 more than what it was. This will now be her vet so long as we can see Dr. King!
