I can confidently say that BluePearl Pet Hospital saved my cat's life. The level of care, honesty, communication, and humility the doctors and staff showed me and my family is beyond anything I could have imagined or expected. We ended up taking our orange cat, Butch, to the emergency hospital on a Sunday morning (7/21/24), not knowing exactly how dire his situation was. The doctors and staff reassured us that we made the right call because he had a urinary blockage and ultimately could have not survived it much longer. We went through a rollercoaster of emotions: the first night he did well on the catheter, the next moment his body started rejecting the catheter, and he unfortunately ended up needing PU surgery since his urine was so crystalized and his genitals went through so much physical trauma. The 3.5 days Butch stayed overnight at BluePearl were long days for us, but they let us visit him with no day or time restrictions. It is always difficult to see your pet struggling and/or in pain, but we could tell right away he was being well taken care of when visiting. Butch had a comfy pillow and multiple choices of food. He was even rolling around his cage while hooked up to a catheter! His larger than life personality was still as present as it could be in those painful moments, and I credit that to the staff who made him feel as loved and comfortable as we would have in those moments. Dr. Maya Aharon played a crucial role in this; she walked us through every step along the way. She updated us as often as she could have whether the news was positive or negative. She was such a bright light in the darkest of situations - even when we had to have the conversation of potentially putting him to rest. Her demeanor was so genuinely kind and caring. She is an extremely knowledgeable professional with a huge heart. At the end of the day, when surgery was declared absolutely necessary, we discussed with her that it would regrettably be a huge financial strain on us (although we wanted to immediately jump on the opportunity). Dr. Aharon completely understood and comforted us while making no ill judgements. She gave us some time to discuss and think about next steps while selflessly taking on the task of doing some "homework" with us. While I was trying to figure out finances and other options elsewhere, Dr. Aharon called us back and gave us miraculous news: she secured surgery at an alternate site for Butch at an extremely affordable price. We were in complete shock because the news was nearly unbelievable. Dr. Aharon coordinated the transfer, information, status of Butch's state, etc. with the outside medical staff and allowed us to rest that night. We picked him up the next morning and transferred him to the other vet who performed the intricate surgery successfully. It's important to note that most vets and even other emergency hospitals do not perform this surgery, so the fact that we were able to find an alternate option was a miracle in itself. We took him home that same night and he is now a week into his healing process (one more week and he is cone free)! They are even still reaching out to us to check on the status of Butch and relay their well wishes. If my story does not clearly relay this, take your pets to BluePearl for any emergency needs. You can rest assured that the doctors, vet techs, and office staff will care for your pets like they would with theirs. We could not have asked for a better experience at an emergency pet hospital despite the frightening and critical circumstances. "Thank you" simply does not feel like enough. We are eternally grateful for everything they've done for Butch. Thank you to Dr. Aharon, Dr. Whitehead, and the amazing support/office staff who made this painful, exhausting situation one we can look back at with a peace of mind. They went above and beyond what a typical vet hospital would have done. We truly appreciate everything you've all done for our family. Butch sends you all his hugs, kisses, and big meows!
I took my precious Peggy fuller there. We had been working on an ongoing health issue with her with our regular vet. Sadly we couldn't figure it out. We were lucky to go to Blue Pearl where they quickly were able to identify the problem, take immediate action toward resolving it and all while giving excellent customer service. They listened to the entire patient history and helped us make a decision that resulted in my Peggy having a positive outcome. I can't express completely my gratitude to the staff and doctors at the facility. I wish I could because it is immeasurable. They are the best. Do not trust your pet to another emergency care facility. These guys really listen and care.
Since February of 2016, we have been loyal clients of the dedicated, devoted and highly skilled medical team of BluePearl Malvern. Over the years our furbabies have treated with various specialities at this hospital and have received unparalleled care and compassion. We’ve been to numerous veterinary hospitals throughout the years and the doctors at BluePearl Malvern are truly the best of the best. To name a few, Dr. Orsini, Dr. Clifford, Dr. Haney, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Meltzer, Dr. Aharon, Dr. Bumgardner and Dr. Whitehead, we would trust any of our babies in their most skilled hands and know our fur children have always received care that is beyond compare. The nurses at BluePearl Malvern are truly the most caring and we are forever grateful for them as well. Notably, Chrissy with Oral Surgery, Alexa with Internal Medicine and, most recently, Nikki, Megan and Nicole who provided exceptional care for our Rottweiler, Baron, during his hospitalization this past week. Finally, the front desk is always so helpful and kind. In sum, BluePearl Malvern’s doctors, nurses and support staff are extraordinary and we take comfort in knowing that all furbabies in their care will receive the very best treatment. Our heartfelt thanks, Matt & Dana
We are so grateful to Blue Pearl. A few weeks ago our precious dog was seen by Dr. Maya Aharon for an ultrasound. The diagnosis was poor and Dr. Aharon explained everything to us in such a kind and gentle manner. A week later when we made the difficult decision to end our dog’s suffering Dr. Aharon was there and it meant the world to us that she was the doctor with us that night. She explained everything to us, was supportive and kind and made such a difficult time as good as it could possibly be. We appreciate all Dr Aharon did for us. The entire staff was kind and professional beginning to end.
We are so incredibly grateful for Blue Pearl taking such great care of our pup! He was admitted for a night back in October & the communication was outstanding, everything was explained so well & although care is pricey (thank you pet insurance!), it’s estimated and told to you before anything is done. Such helpful, caring staff! I also just want to comment how thankful I am for having an 24/7 emergency animal hospital nearby, I can’t explain how much better it makes me feel as a pet owner. Thank you so much!
Came here with my cat to receive an ultrasound after my primary vet sent me here. The vet tech was a lovely, kind woman who was very sweet to my cat. The vet, however, was quick to cut me off when hearing about her history. I understand that they're busy, but I'd like to be treated better than just some number. Once the ultrasound was complete, he returned and gave me a simplified version of what she had and said "there's nothing we can do". I was, of course, heartbroken and still am. He handed me a sheet of paper with all the science-y jargon I didn't understand and despite asking him to explain what each word I didn't understand meant, I felt as though I was being rushed. Had to point at each word and ask "and what does this mean?" after about 4 or 5 times of doing so I just relented and stopped asking. I asked if he had recommendations on putting her to sleep and he directed me to my primary, I gave him a "I don't know what else there is to say" and he instructed me that I could check out and told me to take all the time I needed as he shut the door. It wasn't all bad. I wasn't immediately kicked out or anything, people (both staff and patients, furry or otherwise) were kind, there was full access to a restroom and a coffee machine, and they found what she had very quickly but I went to this alone. I'm young. I know understanding her diagnosis wouldn't change anything, but I already feel powerless enough against her illness. I know my feelings are partially motivated by grief and that I was a first timer here. Didn't have a history with them or anything. But some more empathy would've made things a bit less painful. It's not their jobs to make sure I was okay, but I wish I could've gone to a human for some answers instead of google.
