Dr. Stephanie Murphree has been practicing veterinary medicine for 13 years and is happy to be here in Kyle. Our pet owners are located in Buda, Kyle and San Marcos, TX. Our hospital is brand new, state of the art and we hold ourselves to very high standards. We are able to provide all types of pet care including examinations, vaccines, lab work, radiographs (commonly called x-rays), surgery, dentistry, medical boarding, prescription diets, and more. Dr. Murphree and our dedicated team all live here in Kyle and serve the San Marcos TX area up through Buda TX.

First time at Republic due to an urgent matter for our Bully and his usual vet didn’t have availability that week. We were received by a very compassionate front desk who was a very sweet professional lady. We got called back and received the best care we have had in a very long time. The vet took her time and assessed our baby. She took our concerns seriously and we never felt rushed. She is helping us establish a health plan to target our dog’s root problem which no one has ever done before. The Vet Tech was great and you can just see how much love and respect they have for animals! We have made the decision to make this our new veterinarian office!

One of my dogs had an abscess tooth. She was going to have to have a dental cleaning and tooth extraction done. Republic Vet offered HALF the price of the procedure compared to everywhere else I called. They’re affordable and reliable, I was able to get my dog into surgery less than a week after being seen.

Huge disappointment. Have been taking my dogs here for years, for everything. Vet refused to give approval for heart worm rx for March since one of my dogs has his yearly heart worm check coming up in May. Really inconvenient, still have a hard time comprehending this. Also, charging $850 for fixing my small dog. Seemed excessive, so we looked around. Other place charging $160. Make it make sense.

AMAZING!!!! Doc was very detail oriented, explaining everything well! & Beth at the front desk is just an angel. I’m so grateful for them taking care of my khaleesi girl. She was vomiting large amounts of blood and they got her in same day & were very affordable. They also continued to call multiple days to check up on the patient as well. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!

In May 2021 I got a call from my husband saying our puppy Macho jumped off the kitchen table, he had been climbing unto the table for like a week at that point. My husband started noticing he wasn't moving so he took him to Republic Vet, with Xray they told us he had dislocated his hip and fractured his leg. Machos leg is now healed and we had great service from this hospital, they were always calling to remind us of appointments, I felt the love at the hospital as they always greeted Macho and told us how good he was. 😀 thank you for taking care of my baby.

Dr Murphree is amazing. She actually cares about my fur babies. She has walked me and my husband through all sorts of different things with them. She is empathetic and her staff is as well. In the case that I might be cash strapped I have never been made to feel like a bad person and have always been provided with alternative solutions. I will continue to bring my furry friends here and refer my friends for as long as she is here
