Dr Burke is our veterinarian. She is great with our 8 year old Siberian Husky. Our dog is very scared to go to see the veterinarian. The staff are very well trained and are very able to calm our dog during our visit. This also includes Dr Burke who always is kind and compassionate towards our dog. She is also able to calm me as well and reassuring as to our dog’s condition and prognosis. I highly recommend the South Puyallup clinic as well as Dr Burke and the amazing staff that works there!
I want to share a deceitful experience I had with the Dr. Snodgrass and the new Dr. at Banfield Sunrise Village. I have had my furbaby Max for almost 13 years.. he is still very energetic and is very much a puppy..! I took him in to get his teeth cleaned on the program I pay for there. They detected his liver levels were elevated and wouldn’t clean his teeth and to remove an infected tooth unless I went to a specialist to get an ultrasound…Dr. Snodgrass explained that if the internal medicine specialist Dr approved him to move forward with the cleaning and be fine to be put under anesthesia; they would move forward with it. So the rescheduled Max for his teeth. Mind you, I am the only one in my family providing at this time, as times are hard and we are paying a monthly fee at Banfield for our Max. I paid over a $1000 to get this done and the internal med Dr . found 2 small undefined masses in his liver, but she said he could live for a while and that he was perfectly fine to get that infected tooth out, plus it would help with his heart murmur they recently found , which she said was probably the cause. So Banfield scheduled the tooth appointment. Then when I show up after my max fasted for his appointment , they turned me away saying they didn’t have enough Vet Techs and will need to reschedule , without so much as a courtesy call-UNTIL I got there!. I had rescheduled my work day to take care of Max.. so then my husband called to reschedule and then they said they weren’t going to do it..After a period of 3 weeks of me getting this all accomplished so my dog could stop being in pain, continuing to pay Banfield for their services, doing what they told me to do, went to the vet they referred me to for an ultrasound , getting the approval, losing days of work to get this done, rescheduling me twice now; just to say they won’t do it because he is high risk, now?!? But the SPECIALIST dr said he wasn’t. So if they won’t listen to a specialist they sent me to; why say that in the beginning… why make me and my family struggle to get it all done?! …and continue to take my money all the while. Extremely unprofessional and a lack of respect. Be careful of the Veterinarians who are running this program… there is no integrity.
I been going for years, the insurance isn't cheap. But worth it. My dogs get all there shots. Plus wellness 2 times a year. If you get a puppy or kitten the nurture is included. So it really is worth it.
I enjoy taking my dogs to the PetSmart Spa, I own a Great Dane who has some anxiety issues, but the girls there are so caring and are also so happy to see her. They always reassure me that she was great for me. I also own a pomski who is afraid of the blow dryer but they always make sure to get her as dry as possible for me. Life can get busy and sometimes I just need their nails done and they always fit me into the schedule . Appreciate the quality of service.
I really appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff was. They listened to our concerns and put us on the right path to get our furbabie feeling better. Our appointment was quick and so far this wellness plan has been wonderful!
